Sorry 7Bit if i ask again but i'd like to know what happened with my order #232. I mean order #231 and #233 seems to be shipped. Ty!

Maybe it was the NORDIC kit which delayed shipping.

A little bit of bad news.

The geekhack, ctrl and alt don't quite fit my G80-1000 :{

7bit's colemak backspace doesn't fit my g80-1000, apparently i needed a stepped backspace as it would have the correct stem for it. Should have realized this sooner.

At least the ctrl and alt i got 2 types of sizes, one is too small, and the other too big. So i tried the small ones, which had small gaps between, but i thought that it didn't look too bad. But problem came when that colemak backspace didn't fit :{

Only the spacebar the other colemak keys worked fine on it.

Originally i wanted to use the G80-1000 fitted with white rice + 7bits colemak kit to be my colemak keyboard, sadly because of the above issues this was not gonna happen :{

So i installed it onto my ducky to try  out colemak.

Can you please post some pictures of the keys which don't fit?

The stepped Caps Lock key problem is already known, BTW. I was afraid that it will not be the Caps Lock key abut also Control and other keys for that position which won't fit.

The G80-1000 has got no Windows keys and needs 1.5 unit modifiers, which where included in the ONEHALFMOD kit.

The color of the keys was chosen to match Cherry double-shot ABS keys. SP told me that ABS and PBT never really match in color, so I don't wonder if Cherry PBT keys don't match with Cherry ABS keys either.

I just came to that conclusion some minutes before I saw this post. I'm ok with it but I bougth a second kit for my wife that refuses to memorize the key layout. I hope I can convince her she only has to memorize three keys if a solution is not possible.

That means I received my keys. I'm very happy with the quality and the feel of them.

BTW, another little problem I see is that large keys (those with the metal stuff) doesn't fit tight and they feel loose if you press on a corner. I don't think it will be problem but... did someone use some McGyverish solution like using a clip, chew gum and/or isulating tape in order to fix that in a non aggresive way (cyanoacrylate is aggresive). If someone knows there's a guide or post I will look for it by myself.

Sorry for this! These keys are also included in the NORDIC kit and where not labeled for the ES kit, so they did not appear in the list. iMav was not aware of these keys being missing.

The good news is that these keys where produced and will be shipped to all ES kit users within a few days.

The ¿¡-key error (¿!) has been caused by SP and it will take until Round 4 to be corrected.

ps: If I look at those keys and if I where like Ripster, I'd say Americans have no sense for proportion. But again, I'm not like Ripster.

RETURN was supposed to be totally centered and not in the upper part of the key.

So you got a colemak layout on your ducky! Please show us a pic of it ...
I'm still waiting for my keys -including colemak- to arrive.

BTW:
The COLEMAKBACKSPACE set should contain two keys:
- a stepped version (off-center mount) of BACKSPACE for the CAPSLOCK position for Cherry
- an un-stepped version (centered mount) of BACKSPACE for the CAPSLOCK position for Poker, Ducky, Filco, ...

The stepped version should fit your G80-1000.
Unfortunately, the stepped version might suffer from the same mount misplacement as the stepped CAPSLOCK from the STANDARD set.

Is your problem that you don't have a stepped BACKSPACE ?
Or do you have a stepped BACKSPACE, but has it a misplaced mount ? (picture ?)

Had only ytouble to fit the space bar on my keyboard. It needs a bit of pressure to get the stabilizer-stems into the keymounts. Or a stabilizer got loose?

What did Moogle receive ?
I PM'ed Moogle about this.
Probably he only got an unstepped key that fits his Ducky, and he did not receive a stepped version.
But I better stop guessing and wait for his answer.

Again, in simplified English:
SP ****ed up the off-center key stems to the left, on any row 3, 1.75 units key.

458 keys in total, worth around $300 .

The small plastic white piece (I have a Filco) that joins the cap with the metal stabilizer fits loosely in some keys, like the right shift (in my case). If you put the key upside up the plastic piece would fall.

What would McGyver do in my case? I think I will use the chew gum (that chewgum-like material sold in DIY stores).

Ah, OK.

You could also use a piece of a plastic bag.

Not that you can't get them off when you try to put on your Round 4 keys.

Yes, that is. The "chew" before gum is because of my poor English and the famous "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum." that hanged around in my mind when I wrote the post.

Reply from Moogle.
He did NOT receive BACKSPACE keys with an off-center mount.  So there is a different problem, as I expected.

He got one r3u175 BACKSPACE with centered mount (this is good) and
he got one r2u150 BACKSPACE with centered mount (this is incorrect, shoud be r3u175s with off-center mount).

Question is now:
Is this a sorting error from iMav? (After all, the r2u150 BACKSPACE is part of the MODIFIER set)
Or is it a production error caused by SP?

I did not find proof of a r3u175(s) BACKSPACE with misplaced off-center mount yet.
But you probably contacted iMav about that, so you are likely right about how all off-center mounts on r3u175 caps are misplaced.

I had some of these problems replacing the keys on both of my Filcos,  what I did was take all of the stabilizers out and tryed them all to see what fit well where and after about 10 minutes I had them all pretty snug,  I got a bit lucky in this too so maybe if you have a really tight one then replace it with the one that is looser and use the one that is tight elsewhere.  It seems in some of the SP keys the insert holes for the stabilizers are all a little differant (milimeter differances)

the pictures i shared is only the moogle kit with my dye subs. So i haven't yet posted a pic of the moogle kit with my beige/white double shots, which is really what this kit is originally for.

So if the color shading doesn't quite match in my pics, plz don't be disheartened. the color does match for the double shot version which is different shading of beige/white than my dye subs :}

and that windowed led capslocks key is not part of the moogle kit. it was from another cherry corp donor board, which had another beige/white shading, which makes the patchy color even more worse :p

I did install the moogle kit capslock which is unstepped and no led windows on it. when i activate it, the led light leaks a little underneath, so if i look at it head on i can see the glow to know that capslock is activated. The light doesn't penetrate through the keycap, so you just need to see the light that bleeds from the edges underneath :p

So for my ducky keyboard that has a led for capslock, ideally i would have preferred the cherry corp UNmodified capslock with a window led, which sixty has i believe. Also part of his set has the proper F9, F10 and F11 which i need as well :}

Maybe when i'm free i'll take a picture of the moogle kit with my double shot cherry corp beige/white set.

I think that's the least you can do for all the people who ordered a Moogle set and haven't received it.

I asked in the thread at the other forum.
But seriously, you are the one who came up with this idea of a replacement caps, maybe you could at least show everyone how it turned out?

This thread is a little confusing...

I'm just looking to order a set of replacement keys for my DAS Keyboard... (Cherry blue's). Is there anything in stock I can just order to get a full replacement set? I have no preference on color or if there are letters or not, just would like a full replacement set. I saw REDBLANKFULL... I'm guessing those are red keys, that are blank, and it's a full set... but is that available for order?

This thread you are reading is for Round 3 of the group buy.  Most everything is sold out, especially if you want a full set of keys for your Das.  Round 4 is starting very soon.  So stay tuned on the Group Buy forum.

But this line here

1 left ..... REDBLANKFULL............4 $36.....113 Blank full kit

That is implying there is one full blank set remaining... correct?

I guess I don't get this whole voting thing and sending PM's, I just want some replacement keys because the company that sells the DAS keyboard doesn't have any, and neither does EliteKeyboards.com... they used to have full sets for the Filco which I think fit the DAS...

I am not sure where you pulled that from, but the latest available items posted 7bit was this.

http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?13664-Double-shot-replacements-ROUND-THREE-Vote-for-Kits-amp-Quantities!&p=369807&viewfull=1#post369807

and what you listed isn't on that list.

If you want to see if that full blank kit is available or not, send a private message (PM) to 7bit_vote with these lines in the body:

REDBLANKFULL 1
EMAIL your-email@address.com

and wait for a reply.

so what is the step we should do. do we mail back the incorrect backspace to imav ?

Waiting.

I don't think it would be necessary to send anything back from your site. It would be too costly.
