Anybody knows do the alternative layout kits have nubbed keys? In a Dvorak's case U and H.

Yes:

Both versions (nubbed and un-nubbed) are included.

I just did not update the graphic.

Any chance for the dvorak kit that the ";" key be aligned left like White rice's. That would just be perfect for me :D

Not for everyone else, just only me since i'm using white rice's set >:D

Why do I get these useless ideas...

Still, anyone think gamer kit with numbed J included might be cool? So in low light you could have two colored keys for easier naviagtion on keyboard...

Just wondering, don't care about me...

I was creating images of my wanna-have-layouts with the new keycaps, just to make sure I don't forget to pre-order any keycap   :o)
At some zoomlevel I read META on a key in the standard-layout, where I expected MENU. Did not pay attention to this before.

A "default" 104/105 keyboard is supposed to have 2 OS keys and 1 menu key.
Both SUPER and META are OS keys (or am I mistaken?).
Does the round-3 standard-layout have 3 OS keys and no menu key? I think so.

Guess it would make sense to add a MENU key to the standard-layouts and move the META key to the MODIFIER set for SUN layout people (they need 2xMETA+COMPOSE).

The MODIFIER set is also suitable for an Apple layout (need 2xCOMMAND+2xOPTION).

Windows layout is also a bit difficult, because there is only 1xWINDOWS included, maybe we should put in a second WINDOWS key too? Or maybe we can skip all WINDOWS keys?

Any thoughts on this?
Thanks.

Currently, there is no MENU key at all.

Yes, and just like HYPER and SUPER they come in pairs. One on the left and one on the right.

Quote from: 7bit;289193

the 2 diamond keys from the Sun culture are Super.

No, SUN diamond is META.

Quote from: 7bit;289193

I think with OS-keys you mean the Windows keys, right?

More in general really, I mean
COMMAND on Apple
META on SUN
WINDOWS on M$
SUPER on X

There is no MENU key or equivalent on Apple or SUN.
On M$ there is a MENU key (they invented it) and X uses it by default too (xev showed me).

So I think the vast majority of us actually "need" a MENU key.
And IMHO having only one META key doesn't do any justice to the great great Space-Cadet.

Quote from: 7bit;289193

Currently, there is no MENU key at all.

Indeed. But love to see it in the standard-layouts ...

Quote from: 7bit;289193

Sun layout is: Caps Lock, Alt, Super (diamond) and Super, Compose, Alt Graph.

My SUN type 5/5c/6 kbds all have: control, alt, meta, meta, compose, alt graph.
I'm typing on a type 6 now.

Quote from: 7bit;289193

If you take 2 of the Modifer kits, I will add another WINDOWS key and the MENU key!

No no no, no windows(key) for me ! That's definitely NOT what I'm after.
The MENU key however ...
Too bad I'd have to take a MODIFIER set for it, makes it a rather expensive key.

Please (re)consider
 META > MENU in STANDARD
and
 WINDOWS > META in MODIFIER

Sorry for getting this wrong!

I always thought it was Super because the Windows key is mapped to Super in X11 by default and Meta and Alt are both on the Alt-keys.

I know this group buy is expensive enough, but if anyone is interested in possibly replacing their bottom row with gray, vintage-looking doubleshots, check out the other group buy here. We only need 9 more sets bought to get this thing moving =)

As to the escape key, the first one is my preference,
but the third would be okay as well.

My keyboard just arrived, it's so cool. (in both senses of the word.:tongue1:)

No, not yet.

The point is, if I have an e-mail address, I just can run a scvript which sends them off. Otherwise I had to send messages through this website manually, one per minute, which takes an hour.

No problem. I actually cleared my order because I wanted to sell my DAS, but now I'm getting second thoughts about it.

I know this has been asked, but just to be sure:

The standard kit will fit the DAS right? Including the spacebar?

Price list updated!
« Reply #641 on: Sat, 05 February 2011, 15:31:35 »
I updated the pricelist. Some kits did not meet the quantities I expected, so I set the prices according to the lower quantities. If there is more demand in these kits, prices will get down again!

I skipped the following kits because of lack of support:

Standard kit ................ $73 / 15 (STANDARDBLACK) // 1 vote is too few!
Black Mod kit (orange text).. $42 / 15 (BLACKMOD) // 3 votes are too few!
Black Alnum kit (orange text) $28 / 15 (BLACKALNUM) // 3 votes are too few!

If there will be another round in 2012, I will include these.

Moreover, I reorganized some things:
There is no space bar included in the Standard kit. If you don't include one to your order, I will add a grey space bar for Filco/Ducky/new Cherry G80-3000 (SPACEGREY).

I threw out those J-shape-blank-return kits (JRETcolor) which where a bit redundant as there exist the more useful colorBLACKRET kits which contain both the J-shape return and a 1.25 units wide Shift key.

Finally, as the majority wanted the blue stuff to be in light blue, I need someone who has got something light-bluish from SP (the color sample chain would be great!) to choose the exact color!

Got my invoice, how do I confirm, etc?

And I love on Mars, right next to Mt. Olympus, so if you can include the shipping cost to there as well ;)
Someday somebody will best me, but it won't be today, and it won't be you.

Sure thing, I can imagine me (provided colemak/uk kit in black also) getting another set of these.

Sorry, I am not sure - does that mean the only thing changed is that we are paying separately on the spacebar and have an option to change the colour but the one you have included follows the same colour scheme as before (round 1)?

Lastly, just like to say that received your test invoice so thanks for organizing this and allowing the opportunity to get some fine doubleshot keycaps. Thanks again.

No spacebar in standard kit? I was going to get both grey and black spacebar, so I have to vote SPACEBLACK 1 and SPACEGREY 1 right? WASD with arrows now in ORANGE kit right? Red esc comes with that design that is on post #679? Cant keep up, as this list chages all the time :|
