I used a small screwdriver. The one which my brother calls "The magic screwdriver" because its useful for so much more (and is actually pretty bad as a screwdriver). Its the craftsman one with the clip on it (they know its good, so they put a clip on it so you can carry it in your shirt pocket)

He used to carry that magic screwdriver,
clipped into his shirt pocket,
until he fell over,
and steped himself to death,
with that magic screwdriver.

I need the ctrl and alt from the onehalf mod kit. I'm also still not sure if that kit comes with matching colors same as the moogle beige/white kit. Any ideas ?

Got my standard set, and it is beautiful. The caps fit perfectly, although with my filco, the stabilizers are in fact a bit loose. I'll eventually get myself to do that bit with the plastic bags.

edit: oh and thank you 7bit and iMav!

Just use some pieces of plastic bags and you are done. If they fit perfectly on the switches but not on the stabilizers, mayby the stabilizers are the ones which had been made too small!

Right you are! Did as you suggested, worked wonders and now i'm enjoying the new keycaps. Thanks to you and iMav for making this happen:)

Yes, I thought it looks better, since < and > are related to each other. Great to see SP did not mess up the NORDIC kit. They did at least 2 keys wrong in the ES kit.

Edit: maybe the dots of Ö are a bit too far away, compared to other keys, but who cares!

Here is mine. I don't think I'll be keeping this layout. Perhaps I should use standard Cherry keys except for the grey alphanumeric part and the numeric part of numpad. I used doubleshot caps from a POS board for the numpad (orange border) and CAPS LOCK. Doesn't look very pretty.

Also the Nordic kit is a mess. You don't want to see my Cherry board with real SI-layout :P

Why is the NORDIC kit a mess? All keys are correctly labeld, according to what I've submitted to SP. The Caps Lock problem will be solved RSN and the missing numpad keys  will be available in Round 4.

Your keyboard looks far less Frankensteiny than what Moogle got. Can't share the pictures.

ps: I see that I should add an old-school Ø key for the numpad as well ;-)

For all fellow Canadian please see below:

Quote from: USPS
http://www.usps.com/international/serviceupdates.htm#H9

The postal administrator of Canada has advised that the suspension of postal operations has ended. Canada Post workers returned to work on Monday, June 27, 2011. Canada Post is now accepting inbound international mail and resumed dispatching international outbound mail as of Tuesday, June 28, 2011.

The U.S. Postal Service began accepting mail for Canada on Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Mail that was held in the U.S. Postal Service network since the work stoppage began is being released and transported to Canada in stages.

Customers will experience some delays in service due to the large volume of mail that was being held. The U.S. Postal Service is working closely with Canada Post to keep these delays to a minimum and return service levels back to normal for all products as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, Global Express Guaranteed (GXG) remains the best option to avoid delays in service. GXG is a premium, date-certain international shipping option with international transportation and delivery by FedEx Express. GXG is available online at http://www.usps.com and at thousands of participating retail locations throughout the United States or through Click-N-Ship at http://www.usps.com.

Additional information and updates regarding acceptance and movement of international mail is available at http://www.usps.com/communications/news/serviceupdates.htm.

Im abit surprised i was one of the first people to get the nordic kit considering i live way up in northern Norway. But the box was small enough that it was passed along as a letter or something, thus it only took five days from shipping in WI to my mailbox in Norway - pro stuff;)

Shipping speed depends not on
- invoice number
- user name
- location (except for Canadians)

It depends only on number of blanks!

ps: Norway vs. Brazil: 0:1

Well it is still probably the first doubleshot SI/HR/YU keyset since the typewriter age:) So it is a historical set:) Or have you ever saw a doubleshot YU Cherry? Maybe a POS from the 80's?

Not quite the same, I admit.

I remember that someone wanted this and told me it is sufficient to have these keys shown on the Goupil above. Mayby in Round 4 we can offer a full SI kit

Mine arrived!  My mechanical is a noppo choc mini so it has a few custom size keys that do not allow for a full swap of the keycaps, but i expected this.  I instead just replaced the letter/number keys. I also ordered the orange gamer kit so my wsad is orange, main keyspace is the standard kit, and the modifier keys and surrounding keys are the original black noppo POM keycaps.  It looks very sexy imo.

Here is a quick and dirty camera phone photo.

Edit: I notice typing on these thin SP keycaps it has grown louder, but not in an obnoxious way, sounds more like the clitter clack of an oldschool typewriter (though much more muted) than it does with the thick POM keycaps.

I can actually replace all the keycaps if i wanted to, but id have to have some odd ones in the place of the function key or windows key.  Those two are single key spaced.  So id have to use extra arrow keys in their place to maintain the correct row profile.  But i actually prefer the look of it mixed with original and new.

Yeah, layout is generally fine with the exception of the number row which is quite different. I even had to use that weird ß symbol ;)

@dux, no I've never seend a double-shot Cherry YU layout but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist ;) I've seen plenty of lasered YU layout boards tho...

If you don't need the AltGr modifier, you can make almost complete set with the Spanish kit (avoiding the ß-Key:)

1 from the standard
2 from the Nordic
3 from the standard
4 from the standard
5 from the standard
6 from the Nordic
7 from the Spanish
8 from the Spanish
9 from the Spanish
0 from the Spanish
?' from the Spanish

So only the first and the last key of the row 1 would be a real problem.

YU layout seems to be a mixture of German and Italian layouts (which has many similarities with the Spanish). It is an Italian QWERTZ with British pound kicked out and with the added special characters. You just cannot avoid politics talking about YU:)

Mine came today!

Thanks to 7bit for the awesome organisation. And to iMav for sorting and sending. :)

I also have the Control/Cherry offset problem. I've seen something about replacements. Will these appear automatically or will I have to do something?

Some things I noticed:
  • The BACK SPACE font is wider than on other comparable keys, for ex. RETURN.
  • Same with CONTROL vs. TAB and SHIFT
  • The Colemak kit included T and N with and without nubs. As I prefer without now, this was a nice surprise.
  • There are only 4 keys on the Miniguru that show the casting nub. I expected many more. Great!
  • Using the numpad numbers for the number row would have looked great. I know they won't fit because of the different cross-sections, but maybe this would be something for the next round.

And while I'm used to writing on a blank 'board, having Colemak keys now makes me really happy!

Both will be replaced along with Round 4. Don't know if SP delivers the Caps Lock keys earlier but for sure they will be replaced as well!

The numpad 5 comes also in 2 versions!

You missed the NUMERIC kit for the very dark gray version and the POS kit for the gray version of these keys.

I've been lurking here for some time, ordered a PLU ML87 (now at German customs) and some language kit of the round three.
Now I have an idea for the round four and would like to know if there are more of us which would support it.

There is and will always be a problem to get keyboards in ISO-layout. Why don't we make an "ISO-language for ANSI"-Key for each of the European languages?
There are two standard keys more on the ISO-layouts (the first key right to the left Shift OR/AND the last key of the row 3) and one 1,5 key less (in place of ANSI \|). So the symbols of one of the two keys could be printed on the 1,5 in place of  ANSIs \|.

If there will be specific full language layouts in the Round Four, an ANSI Enter, an ANSI left Shift and our new 1,5 ANSI \| - replacement key could be added to them, for the case you would like to "convert" your US-ANSI to an euro-ANSI.

If there will be specific full language layouts in the Round Four, an ANSI Enter, an ANSI left Shift and our new 1,5 ANSI \| - replacement key could be added to them, for the case you would like to "convert" your US-ANSI to an euro-ANSI.
I specifically asked 7bit to add a |\<> key instead of the regular bare |\.
That was for French sets, and I don't remember it stirring any attention from anyone else.

[Edit] Come to think of it, it might have actually been *<>... I'm gonna check that.

[Edit 2] It was actually *µ<>.

Said posts were aimed at 7bit, just like the one you did quote was aimed at dux.

Well this may became a more important issue in the Round Four with all the specific ISO-language sets. Those sets will not fit on an ANSI layout, as they don't have the bigger ANSI LeftShift, the ANSI-Enter and the ANSI |\. So you will have to buy a standard US-set in addition.

POS and ONEHALFMOD would have done the trick, except for the space bar.
Yeah that spacebar i can never replace, such an odd size.

I ordered the full standard kit because i doubt the choc mini will be my only mechanical.  So i wanted to get something that could be applied to future boards too.

7bit, will my order be shipping soon? I've been waiting for a while, and my address will be changing in about a month an a half.

Ok, I have an issue!

I just received the package today with the keycaps and this very night, I began to assemble them in my keyboard Filco Magestouch.

I bought the Standard set, spanish layout set and the Look of dissapproval.

As you can see, there's some missing keycaps and 2/3 are wrongly done (not including LOD). The bottomless marked one with a circle, the keycap just does not fit well as the inclination is not the good one. Seems to be fitting better in the top.

Just to remark, the " "J" Enter" key and "Back Space" their holes for the mechanism are somewhat loose and does not maintain the metal mechanism for it's stability. I guess the other big ones with mechanisms fill suffer the same issue (not tested).

Well, I would like to receive a nice answer about how this issue will be addressed.

Thanks.

Assuming you mean the keycap you circled in the bottom row, the location for that key in the STANDARD kit would be top row (the empty space with a question mark over it, incidentally), so I'd guess that was the copy of the key from the STANDARD kit.  I guess you should have a second one with the ES kit; perhaps that is missing.  I can't seem to find full details on what's in the ES kit in any of the round 3 threads, unfortunately, so I can't be sure.

Try using selotape or a bit of a plastic bag on the stabilisers to increase it's diameter.  Hope it helps

Ducky TKL MX Brown/Blue 80% (White) - 1087-F 白の空

Ok, I'm missing 4 keycaps.

For the other 2 with their print wrongly done, I can wait for Round 4.

Edit: Looking at your link, seems that in the ES layout, there are some mistakes, ones for not included keays and others in print. All who ordered Spanish layout, I guess will have the same issues.

Marked in photo missing ones.
