Got any boards with Cherry Brown switches?

Seems these are all old boards up to the mid-'90s, and the only ones using browns at the time were Cherry's ergos (now worth a small fortune by themselves). Even later on, browns remained very uncommon here. Things only changed once Filcos became available.

I'm kinda surprised that there haven't been any Chicony KB-5182s yet.
Hardware in signatures clutters Google search results. There should be a field in the profile for that (again).

This message was probably typed on a vintage G80-3000 with blues. Double-shots, baby. :D

Funnily enough I have a chicony waiting for me next time i go grab boards, haven't checked the switch type yet. And yes, these are primarily early 90s boards, so the chances of browns is miniscule.

Hmm, just leaving question here, if you come up with board I'm realy intrested in, how much is shipping to Finland?

Also, just considering, is it generaly possible to solder ps/2 to din connector, and does it work with USB boxes??
So I should add something useless here yes? Ok, ok...

shipping in europe is 20€ for a 5kg box. Meaning it is possible to ship 3 keyboards for the same price as one.

And yes AT/DIN and ps2 are compatible, I have several adapters here I can always throw in free of charge. Or if you would prefer to have a ps2 cable, Sixty here on GH has a few dozen coiled ps2 cables from cherry boards that you could just solder on to one of my AT Cherry boards.
Also, I don't think there should be any problems using a usb adapter either.

Anything not marked as sold on the main page remains. There are a few more things I have that I haven't gotten around to listing on geekhack yet, but there are a few more pics on my thread on deskthority. Two that come to mind are a Cherry prototype keyboard and a black OEM qtronix board with cherry blues.
LINKY

Also picked up a very good looking g80-1000 HFD with blues today. Pretty near Mint/new looking. I'll add some pics sometime soon, working a lot, so time is scarce.

Hey Ascii,

I´d be interested in one of your "G80-1800 Doubleshot Ps2 with win keys" if you happen to catch one of those.
If you ever come across a Mx-Brown board, please tell me as the only options with German Layout and Brown switches feel a little pricey to me :/

Greetings from somewhat sunny Hamburg

Hi there.
Currently my supply is on hold as both my girlfriend and son had to be operated in the last two weeks. I'm just too out of it at the moment, to go digging for treasure. I will update the thread once I have more.

And as for browns...the only vintage board out there with browns would be an mx 5000...which I would be selling, but the pricetag would be steep. I do wish I'd find one of these =D.

Im in no rush anyway. Cant really afford a new mechanical at the moment so I just gotta be patient to find the right deal. Your G80-1800 appears to be the first one fitting my needs (Win/Fn Key, reachable F-Keys, German Layout, affordable, compact size, w/o clicky switches)

..If only there was a German noppo choc mini

Hi, I made an account just to ask about your keyboards xD (been lurking for awhile lol)

How many of the Cherry G80-1000 LFADE do you still have for sale? And what kind of condition are they in, are they fully working and everything? And how much would shipping be to the US? (California, if it makes a difference)

Thanks in Advance!

Welcome to GH!
I have 4 remaining. PC compatible, and ill include ps2 adapters for them. Different levels of use: some are dirtier then others, some have some yellowing. There might be a few switches that are worn, so they arent as crisp as others, they are all used boards. Either way, i'll test them to make sure they work before cash is sent.
Shipping to the US is a rip off:
a 5kg package costs 35€, so I would recommend combining orders with someone else to save shipping costs or getting several boards. I recently invested into some real packing material so I should be able to fit 3-4 boards in a 5kg package.

Thanks for the welcomes guys.

Ascaii- Yeah, those kind of shipping prices kind of kills the deal for me so I'm gonna pass for now, hope that's understandable. Good luck selling!
