That was a friendly jibe at Lenny_Nero :)

I won them. Not that I'm looking forward to deciding where they end up :-(

£22.87? You'll have to try harder next time!

Did not see the point, I have more Access boards than I can use and those ones will not fit on this desk without me moving the monitors out, I was just going to get them and put the rest here with a nod to the people who have done me a favour with the last few boards I got from here.

Then I saw the way the thread was going and thought do some of this lot even deserve them if they only want one, or some key caps and are calling each other school yard names.
So I would put a token bid in at what I think one is worth.

If you want to spend (£10 quid more) more than that there are much better Access boards than them on ebay, I know I have one.

I'm going to wait until they arrive here before doing (or deciding) anything else.

Whatever happens, I'm not in this for a profit, they will move on at cost.

I must apologize!

We thought, you just made fun with that thread about image quoting is being bad.

So we made a bit fun of you. Nobody really did mean you are a nazi, or a fascist. This kind of bad humor, we had here, is part of the internet culture. Maybe we should be more polite next time and don't use these extremes to make fun of somebody.

I'm deeply sorry!

I was clearly joking when i called you a Nazi for you being a prick about someone quoting your pictures : D.
You were a prick and a SNAG but that can't lead me to the conclusion that you hate jews?

And don't make it look like your family (and NOT YOU btw) were the only ones to suffer from world war II, that just makes me lol.
While I have no intentions to be disrespectful I have to tell you that you have no idea how it was as we weren't born at that time so please don't be such a hypocrit.

I feel sorry, that what I've said did hurt your feelings but I am not sorry.

Quick update, in case anyone was wondering...

Yet another collection has now been booked for Monday.

Hopefully this time he'll be there, and they'll be packed well enough for the driver to accept.

I came across these a while ago in a previous auction bundled with a bunch of heavy looking tatty computers.  He didn't want to split even after failing to sell a few times - sounds like he was doing me a favour.

Same seller? Then, yeah.

They arrived today. But only 5 of them, not 6. He didn't mention that until after they'd been collected. The packing wasn't brilliant, but ok.

Still, they're fairly clean, some keys a bit shiny (mostly down arrow and enter), and at least one of them works fine. I'll test the rest later.

Yes, it arrived like that :-/

Does it use cherry blacks?

It would be very easy to name that layout...  The first word that sticks would describe it nicely.

Switches? Cherry?

Also, you should give him a really very negative feedback, if he does not refund the price for the missing keyboard.

Cherry blacks, diodes, plate mounted.
The wide baby blue keys are actually the number row (0..9).
There is no numlock key.
The wide keys in the right hand half of the keyboard are covering 2 keys, so that's a 9x7 grid there all told.
Shift does not send a scancode when pressed by itself.
Presumably all reprogrammable with the right software (http://www.access-is.com/softprog_pos_keyboard.php).

Obviously the layout needs some work to make it useful... but I'm liking the idea of pushing the symbols up and out of the main typing area... mentally at least: my muscles probably have different ideas!

If anyone doesn't want those symbol keys - particularly the ones with pairs of brackets - I'd really like more of them!!! And I'm sure I could find something to make a deal with :-)

Basically I guess we go down the list (although Zen seems to have disappeared...).

Let's try to get it worked out where they're going by the end of the weekend... any more squabbles and I'm keeping them all :-)

Oh... prices will be without any real profit, but I'll round up to the nearest £... so I might get a pint out of it! Basically £7 each plus postage, I think. If no-one objects, I'll also pocket the £4 partial refund I've asked for... if it turns up.

Great!

You must pocket the £4 because you can sell us only 4 instead of 5 keyboards, so it's your money anyway!

Thanks for getting these for us!

Sorry for the delay, I finally got a chance to test them (all good!), and check out some postage prices...

The bad news: postage for 1 keyboard to Germany would be £21 (they are 2.2kg each).
The good news: postage for 3 keyboards to (a single address in) Germany is the same price.

To a UK address would be about 7 or 8 quid (no surprises there).

The really bad news: postage to Singapore would be £37!

I'm assuming that Zen has left us, so... sixty, 7bit, CeeSA, squarebox... what do you guys think about the postage?

[ I really don't mind if any of you want to drop out, I can just carry on down the list :-) ]

Yep, you'd be next in line I think.

OK. That was the cheapest sensible method I could find, which is DHL booked through an agent. Not so sensible is splitting the keyboard into two packages, which gets both under the magic 2kg limit - airmail might then be about £30, or surface mail about £17 (if you can wait 3 months for it to arrive!). If you can find a good way to ship it that'd be great!

Thanks again for your efforts.
I have checked several freight forwarders to Singapore, they charge about £30.

But they are located at
- Kingston Business Park, Milton Keynes
or
- Haydock Industrial Estate, Haydock ST HELENS, Merseyside

If they are too far from you, just stick to your shipping method. Save the trouble for you :)

I've PM'd 7bit to check that's good with him also.

Can one of you check how much postage would be within Germany?
With packing, one board comes to around 2.5kg, perhaps a little more if the box is larger.

Just received it.

Great packing.

F4 isn't doubleshot... It's lasered like half of the keys.

Circled the ones that are double shot, the rest are lasered w/ infill.

Biggest bummer... A broken switch that was superglued back...
Ebay seller broke a key while refurbishing it?

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed. It wouldn't be so bad if the ebay seller didn't use super glue. Now the broken half is stuck permanently.

I'm really very sorry to read all that. I'm sorry I hadn't checked which keys were doubleshot. I particularly wish I'd noticed the botched up key before I forwarded it on to you (I can assure you it was nothing I did). If you like, I can swap the F4 and F1 (?) keys off my board for you, and also send a good black stem. Or we can discuss some other recompense. Please PM me.

Shame the arrow keys aren't double shot - they're double shot on every access keyboard I've touched.

Some interesting punctuation characters, though.

Got these today, thanks Soarer. Interestingly enough the double shot keys on some of these are entirely different.

The F4 key is double shot on all three boards I got from Soarer, the numpad area is on none. Quite the opposite of the board squarebox got actually. The Capslock key is actually TRIPLE SHOT.
