30GB OCZ Vertex for small form factor keyboard
« on: Wed, 09 February 2011, 02:59:58 »
I really would like to try out a mechanical keyboard but don't have the money to buy one. Anyone happen to want an SSD for a boot drive in exchange for a small form factor keyboard? I can throw in some cash depending on the board.
Edit: I'm in the US and really would like Cherry Blues but I'll take other switches.
Edit: I also have other stuff, a purple USB to PS2 adapter, 1gb ddr3 laptop ram, 15.4inch C2D Sony Vaio (VGN-FZ240e) with a falling apart keyboard, loads of scratches, and sketchy wifi and a HP Media Remote and IR receiver that works with Windows. Just some random stuff I have laying around my room.

Are you in the US or europe?

If you are in europe, I would offer you a new, black Cherry G80-1800 USB like this one http://geekhack.org/picture.php?albumid=101&pictureid=609, possibly plus a little cash.
If you are in the US i'm afraid postage would kill the deal :/

I also have other boards for trade, mostly full size ones though.

aww, darn. I was hoping you'd be over here! I need to get myself a boot ssd this month before I get my new pc parts.

30G?  Small boot for small keyboard.
Yea. I don't play any games (Starcraft is so old it takes up like no space) so with Windows 7 HP and Office and stuff there was pleeeenty of room for me.
I can supplement with some cash, I just can't afford the full $100 or so for a nice mechanical board.
It is a really fast drive tho with over 200mb/s for sequential read. It booted Windows in like 20 seconds or so and most programs open instantly.

Just thought I'd bump since I scoured my room for a few more random things that I have laying around.
I'd really like a Choc Mini with Blues for my first mech board. Seems to be on the cheap but with a decent quality and layout (Tho not as cool as the KBC that some of you guys reviewed).

The KBC Poker can't be purchased just yet. I think sixty is the only geekhacker with one, and that is a review sample he got from KBC.

Right, I know. I think the review said that they'd be available in March or April. I'm tempted to wait until then for my first mechanical keyboard. Unless of course someone gives me a good trade :-)
