Quick question Model M AT 1390133 built 1986
« on: Sun, 20 March 2011, 12:49:10 »
I've got a quick question, i found this Model M on german ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.de/IBM-Keyboard-AT-Tastatur-1390133-Model-M-Klick-Clicky-/160559117314?pt=M%C3%A4use_Tastaturen&hash=item256211b402

It's according to the seller compatible with modern PCs, is that right? Or will i get some issues other than having to get the proper adapter?

See the short grey cable? That's an AT -> PS/2 adapter, it'll work fine (as long as said adapter is included).

EDIT:
AT and PS/2 have the same signaling but different connectors. If that keyboard was an XT you'd be SOL.

Probably because I've never seen a UK made one that old. The only ones I've seen are (like mine) made during the time of Lexmark in the US. Course, I haven't been staring at auctions for as long as many here...

Compared to USA perhaps, but every one I've tracked on ebay in EU or UK recently has sold for about that amount.

It's time for me to do what I do best

Someday I'll run out of Model M labels for every situation, and then I'll be ****ed.
