Better color on new 6gv2 keycaps
« on: Thu, 07 April 2011, 14:31:23 »
I bought a new Steelseries 7G some time ago and the white color started to fade right away (no I'm not scratching them with my nails). However I must say that I was very happy with the keyboard.
So I decided to buy a 6Gv2 too and noticed that the color seems to be of better quality. The font is a little bit different, it has Norwegian and Danish symbols, not just Swedish like the 7G i first bought.

Yeah, there have been some reports of changes in lettering. Improvements in quality are always welcome, particularly when they were needed...
Hardware in signatures clutters Google search results. There should be a field in the profile for that (again).

This message was probably typed on a vintage G80-3000 with blues. Double-shots, baby. :D

I have now used my 6Gv2 a couple of days and the lettering, on some of the keycaps, already looks darker. So it really wasn't  that much of a improvement.

I will now switch to blank keycaps.
