USB Flash Drives
« on: Sun, 05 June 2011, 01:00:24 »
Usually carry one on my keychain out of convenience. The Corsair Voyager I had on there for a good while decided to kinda fall apart today. Sooo, before I pick up something cheap somewhere in the next few days, any recommendations? Reasonably priced though. Those Ironkey sticks look neat, but for that price I rather have two hookers or a Topre.

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9791215833

I just ordered 2 8GB sticks from them a week ago.
Still waiting for them to arrive but will post some benchmark screenshots once I get them.

Apparently the seller claimed that they were using Intel SLC flash memory chips - so we'll see how that goes.

Cheapest SLC flash drive I found so far - on Taobao.

If you are shipping it to the US, how much does it cost to ship some items like these?  Thanks.

I'm not from the US so I am not sure. I used a Taobao forwarding service though.
Those drives are light - I'm guessing about 0.1kg for a total of 2 so I had to buy other stuff to make it reach about 0.9 as the shipping fee was calculated based on per kilo basis.
