If those guy need those keys to play, they're doing something wrong.

This means they didn't buy them for practical reasons, only for esthetic reasons.

Also CC mentioned that we should start the CCSCA club (clickclack sudden cardiac arrest club) since I almost gave him one today when I told him I haven't received the keycaps yet. :biggrin:

I know what it is, the main portal for guides, tournaments, teams and so on for SC. But why has it developped a fanbase? Is it some sort of community?

Because I doubt anybody is interested in wikipedia keycaps or google keycaps.

It is a community. And it also has it's very own SC2 team. Basically anyone who plays/follows SC2 knows of TL.net and goes there.

Well, it supports an active SC2 team, which many people are fans of.  For a long time during the Broodwar days it was the best (only?) way to follow the pro scene in English.  Because of that, being on TL was (and still is) pretty much synonymous with following Starcraft.
