108 wpm done with standard ThinkPad T410i keyboard. I think I can make a decent run with my Filco. I'll have to see.

105 WPM, 445 points. Pretty much matches with my best score on Typeracer. On a Noppoo Choc Mini with Browns. I sadly have to admit that my highest-ever score was when I wasn't registered on Typeracer and using an Apple MacBook keyboard. It was 115 WPM, I believe...

Hah, just got 77 WPM on my TG3 with Poker keycaps, typing in QWERTY! Doesn't sound like much, but 99% of the time I type on a Kinesis Advantage / Dvorak layout.

No, only the best score for any user counts, no need to post scores per keyboard/layout, etc :-)  Or are you talking about new users submitting scores lately? Up to you how long you want to maintain this, doesn't really matter!

Did on a Realforce Topre 103UB.

It wasn't my best race. I should try again, I'm faster in French.
I'm still do some errors on some English words.

btw: You should try the typing est on Hi Games Typing Test or on TypeRacer.

That website is terrible since the words are random.

I prefer hi-games.net or typeracer.com
I just did 47 WPM on typeracer on my fujitsu laptop. I'll try the Unicomp later, and the WASD (cherry brown) when it arrives.

Dvorak layout of course.

Screenshots to come when I figure out how?

Since I don't really touchtype, I am pretty sol,w however, I feel like I'm significantly faster when I'm typing something I'm thinking about. Out of curiosity, is there a program (online or otherwise) that will track my paper-typing speeds for class?

typeracer.com is my tester of choice.  I never could get that other one to work.  I need to figure out how to compare my results for different keyboards.  You'd think that there would be an app for that.  ;-P

77 seems pretty respectable to me.  I don't know how some of these guys get 100+ consistently.

Typing on Filco Majestouch-2 with blues, by the way.

And the very second I hit enter they were at the door but I could't pay the duty fee because it was cash only and my room mate "borrowed" the exact amount of cash I needed.  Guess I have to pick it up tomorrow...

I use to get 157 wpm on a logitech g15 keyboard :SS
( in 3 tries)
on Coolermaster Rapid MX (brown)
just fyi from my experience mechanical keyboards aren't better for typing speed, but for better typing experience..
There are some membranes keyboards that are really good for typing. Although i bottom out a lot when i type on keyboards could be my style of typing...

For me its a mental thing. Typing on rubber domes, I feel like my fingers are being glued down to the keys. It's just a really unpleasant feeling.

Mechanical don't have that sticky, mushy feeling and it makes feel like I'm typing faster and in most cases I am 10-20wpm higher.

Or maybe its because you're using a silenced RF... Need to get myself one of those. That must be it!

In all seriousness though I played piano as a kid, and guitar for the last couple of years but I've always had slow fingers. It's held me back considerably :(.

Well, it's a decent idea, but I doubt the author would still update the thread. You can start a new one if you'd like.
