EK Soft Landing Pads?
« on: Wed, 10 August 2011, 07:41:18 »
Anyone here have any experience with the soft landing pads from Elite Keyboards? Specifically with respect to the Filco or Leopold boards.. I wonder if it would have any noticeable dampening effect on the ringing some of the metal plate boards have.

If you want to use them against the ping, you're likely out of luck.
The pads rest on top of the switches, and since it's the springs and plate that resonate, you're not going to have any perceivable dampening of the ping.

Landing pad would only reduce the sound resonating from the cavity of the keycap as well as the enclosure.
