Converting XT to AT
« on: Wed, 17 August 2011, 23:22:35 »
I want to try a model F, but the AT ones are so much more expensive. Will this convert XT to AT?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Symbol-STI80-0100-Keyboard-Synapse-Cable-Adapter-AT-XT-/150642380960?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item2312fc50a0

It has no useful description, and im not sure if the seller either mislabeled it, or if its just to convert an rj type connector TO an AT/XT.

I don't think so, that takes input from a barcode scanner and splits to either XT or AT but it's not a converter between the two.  However, there is a similar adapter I've seen on ebay that I thought might do it.

Use Soarer's Teensy adapter...If I recall it converts XT to AT. I've been meaning to do such, but I'm too broke to buy a Teensy.

My code on a Teensy will convert either XT or AT, to USB :-)
