IIRC there's less than 1000 people on the list. And I'm in the same country as the OP and the email sender, so it should have been pretty instantaneous.

If the leopolds were $10-$20 cheaper, I'd probably pick one up with Browns. Does EK do sales very often? At the current price I could get a WASD for less, so I'm just planning for the future.
Risen from the dead for a model F.

Wyse buy colors were GSY for the dark grey, GBA for the light grey, and BBI for the fonts.

They do not. Also Leopold's have Cherry-style stabilizers. Grab a WASD.

What is so [much more] special about the Type S HHKB2 that justifies a $190 premium?  A shiny gold-plated "S" bling on the grill?

It's very quiet and pingfree (probably).
Now in the OLD Geekhack nobody would have given a rat's ass about this....

Anyone ponying up $190 for that delta?  I wish someone would, then pull some keys and show what $190 in (speculation) foam rubber looks like.

ROFL!  I am saving this video as an example of how the users at our company treat their hardware based on the failure rates we see.

Would also be good for an OSHA training on how to prevent RSI.

Almost two weeks ago. They responded and said they were about to ship next business day. I don't really care that I overpaid on the first one. I cannot predict the future like ripster does and expect EK to have them. Just glad it's finally about to ship after two weeks. Still grabbed the blank one from EK...

The difference shown in that video of the HHKB Pro 2 and the HHKB Pro 2 Type S isn't that much different. The video shows a dramatic difference because the guy was pounding on the keys. Who pounds their keyboards when they type? Also, isn't that what people look for? The auditory feedback from the keyboard? What makes the R&D @ PFU think that it's necessary to reduce the sound that the keyboard is making when Cherry didn't even have the idea to do the same for their Cherry Blues? I think the premium for the Type S over the Pro 2 is BS.
