Hello,
Does anyone have idea if it is mechanical keyboard? I hadn't much success with googling information about it.
In thread "IBM 1386887 (3179 terminal) keyboard conversion" is concept how to connect terminal keyboard to the ps/2. Does anyone know if it is doable with that one? I know it might be dangerous for PC, but I willing to try anyway.

Does using USB ethernet modem can make it work?I do not have enough knowledge to contemplate about this solution. If some of you can do it, feel free to do so.

What I'm looking for is to plug in this keyboard to the ps/2 port and use it for typing and games. I find it is cheapest way to test out mechanical keyboard. Even taking under consideration danger of PC damage. I have old spare one for test.

I don't recognize those switches. Might be some obscure switch no one ever heard of, or they might be sliders over rubber domes.

Keycaps look doubleshot though.

Yes, it looks identical. It looks like for now I must forget about testing mechanical keyboard.

Seem like a fake topre :X Does it feel good?

It has very flat looking switches, I would agree with the rubber dome assessment. It is quite thin too (although there are some thin mechs). Its a terminal board so you would have to do the conversion, unless it is rj11, in which case there is a converter to get it so USB but you would probably be better off with a teensy.

I'm sorry to bring you the bad news.

But identifying the switch.....

It's better to know this now, before I get more involved in to testing:) Thanks

Are you asking how does the pushing buttons work? Well, it gives resistance at the first touch, and then it is very easy to bottom it out. But I didn't use it so I can't say when OS register pressed button.

I guess I will have eyes wide open to find Model M in my country. It will be much more convenient than adapting terminal keyboard.
