Blackwidow space feel

Here goes... I assume it's just paranoia, but i want to check with owners:

I remember the spacebar being stiffer than the rest of the keys when i bought it(1 week ago), now it feels a bit mushy when hit on the sides and still a bit easier to push/an oh so tiny bit less clicky than the adjacent alt keys when hit in the middle. It's also a lot easier to bottom out(the only key other than backspace i do it on, actually) than the others. Is this the way yours feels? Is my mind making up memories of it being a lot stiffer than the surrounding ones?

PS: No real problems with it otherwise, the rebound seems just as fast as for any other key, it doesn't stick, it doesn't ride other keys. Just a little bit of paranoia on my side :)
PPS: can the springs actually give out after such limited use?

Mine was and is still a little bit easier to press than the other keys. Its probably just in your head, or you have broken in the space but not most of the other keys.
