I just got this keyboard 20 minutes ago. It is a black colored Topre "SILENT" version with variable weighted keys. Keyboard is not actually silent but produces lesser noise than the regular Topre. I like my cherry browns better. So I am selling this Topre which is 20 minutes old. Practically brand new. -$50 off the keyboard for using it for 20 minutes. I paid $345 I am asking $295 + $15 shipping. I got the Leopold case for $50. It is completely unused so I am asking $45 + $10 shipping. I have tested the keyboard it works perfectly well. I will not accept returns. I couldn't try out the Topre in person so I bought it knowing the resale value. If you can try a Topre from someone before buying I recommend it. I will accept only instant payment by a verified Paypal account. I will ship only to the USA via UPS ground. Prices are firm. PM me if interested. just want to clarify - the keyboard is not actually silent but produces lesser noise than the regular version of the topre. i should have put quotations around "silent."

To be honest, I really hated this Topre board too when I first got it.  It just didn't feel right, but because it was so pricey I was willing to stick with it.  Now, I can't go back to Cherry MX Switches.  I have a Filco Red, Brown, and Blue.  They sound really nice, but the Topre feels too great.  You should just try using it.  The feel sucks at first, but then you'll realize how great it is.

right now the topre is back in the box but i may consider your advice. thanks. i wonder if the topre feels lighter after some use. that's what i miss the most from the cherrys - the lightness of the keys. otherwise the topre does feel nice. so far, the topre is still on sale though and up for grabs.

ok, thanks to sherryton's inspiration...i am no longer selling the topre. i'm going to give this puppy 3 months time. if i don't like it then, i'll relist the keyboard with a greater discount. i'm already starting to like the keyboard...very strange! sorry for the inconenience...

i was interested in the carrying case as well... but i must say after trying all the switches i have i still prefer my HHKB i just like the feel of typing on it.
