Hey guys,

first time Im putting something up for sale here, please let me know in case I make an error on how things are being done around here.
Im cleaning out some of my keyboards:

At first I have a Cherry G80-1800 with Cherry black switches, its in very good shape. It has a AT plug and works fine when connected to a PS/2 connector. Manufactured

Secondly I have a ACER 6312KW with White-Alps, but I must say that the SHIFT and TAB keys are not working fine anymore. Every other button is working fine. The keyboard has a PS/2 connector. Manufatured 1996.

Price & Payment>
Im quite new and I figure that new guys are always not as trustworthy as the guys who have been here for years. Thats why I will offer to buyers who have been on geekhack for a long time to send the keyboard first and receiving the money via paypal afterwards after they see that the item is really arriving...it seems to me that you guys from geekhack are honest people :)
Oh and about the price, let me knwo how much you woul like to spare, and I will decide after hearing the offers.

Shipping costs> 10Eur
I hope to be able to ship them for about 10Eur worldwide (if a keyboard is too big for that I will inform the buyer before sending it for a higher price).

Those are nice caps on the Cherry; are they doubleshot?

Doubleshots are keys where the legends are made of plastic that, during the molding process, is injected at the same time as the background/key. (This is my basic understanding). It results in a key that is durable as all hell and has a far more defined visual look.

To check a doubleshot, remove a key, and examine the underside. If both colors of the key are present then it is most likely a doubleshot (I cannot be sure without seeing a picture). They are more expensive than lasered or printed caps and are a reason why people buy old and dead Cherry keyboards; Cherry can at times come with stock doubleshots.

you can tell by the code on the back that it is a doubleshot g80-1800.

edit: maybe you want to offer this also on deskthority.net. A lot of European guys lurk around there. Since this is a german layout, you might find a friend for this board there also.

Okay so the "H" here injected in the molding process on the key, while usually on other keyboards its being lasered, printed or something later on, got it. Thanks for the explanation guys.
Yeah you are right, I took a pic of the undersite now: [ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ] 29186[/ATTACH]

edit: sinis thanks for the hint on that. are there not so many people seeking german layouts around here?

Nice 1800. Too bad it's German layout =p. I'd be over it in no time.

You'll find someone on DH I'm pretty sure.

GLWS!
(geekhackers are pretty honest, but beware of little blue ppl, they'll mess you up!)

I would definitely be interested in the keycaps on the G80 if I hadn't just bought a set of doubleshots. I would definitely try posting on deskthority though.

It results in lettering that is durable as all hell. I'd still take, even blank if I had to, PBT keys over those anytime. But that starts entering into preference territory.
