my budget isn't very impressive

Tops would be $90 shipped, but that isn't exaclty in my budget.

What's wrong with a blackwidow? Considering you can get one for sub $60 right now, I would say it's a great board for your first mechanical.

Fair enough. I guess you're looking for a tenkeyless then?
Maybe look into getting a Poker or a Choc Mini from Qtan?
