need a mechanical keyboard that is not angled upwards or slanted in key layout

so im swapping from a keyboard that has sculpted keys but they lay flat on the same level as all the other rows

here is my horrible example....

im using a logitech classic keyboard 200 and need a similar mechanical board

my current mech keyboard im trying out uses red switches and i dont mind them as i am to understand they have the least tactile feedback of the mx cherry switches but i wouldnt mind another keyboard that has less noisy switches and is just as reliable without any tactile feedback

The noise is from bottoming out. If you learn to touch type, there will be no noise. You could also try one of the many dampening mods. Pretty much all mechanical keyboards make noise if you bottom out hard.

I also hate the fact that keyboards are slanted upward, it is very uncomfortable and I do not understand their logic making them like this. I prop the front of my keyboards up on my wrist rest so that the slant is neutral or even negative.

It's about impossible not to bottom out while using red switches (can be even hard for some people with any switch). I would recommend dampening pads which can be purchased at Elitekeyboards.com. They are what you need when you are using red switches in particular. They should do the trick for you. Good luck!

Check out Deck keyboards. They have sculpted keycaps but flat layouts and all of their boards have MX black switch options (linear like reds, but heavier).

so i looked at the deck 82 ice board and it is a flat layout but its angled which im not used to why do they do that

its also a bit expensive for my taste in mech keyboards are there any cheaper ones around 100 that have a flat layout?

ML keyboards are not rare at all, they are just unpopular, you can get them for $20 new on ebay sometimes.

I have only ever seen Deck/TG3 keyboards in black and clear. Blacks are linear, but harder to press. Why do you say you don't like tactile feedback? Have you ever even tried a cherry brown/blue/clear? If you used a tactile board you could easilly type without bottoming out and silent.

i dont like tactile feedback on mice because its loud but mainly because it feels wrong

im actually enjoying these red switches a lot even tho the board is kinda off for me

Tactility is not noise, it is feel. A mouse is clicky not just tactile. Your logitec had tactile feedback as do every other scissor/rubber dome. I think you are avoiding it unnecessarily.

im not voiding anything lol i just PREF the non tactile feel why are you arguing with me over a personal pref? do you know of a flat style board? if you do please say so

:sorry:, not trying to argue or insult, just thought you might not have tried it. Linear boards would be harder to find in non-orthodox layout, that is why I was suggesting you try tactiles, because you probably could find one more easilly. You might be able to get a TG3 backlit board with mx blacks for much cheaper than a deck. The tilt is minimal, but the board is quite thick (1-2inches off the surface).
