That's fine for normal layouts where the F# keys are separated in groups of 4, because the separation lets you find them easily, but when they are arranged like this I prefer to have them aligned with the number. My laptop keyboard is like this, the Noppoo Choc Mini is like this, and the Poker gives you F# by using Fn with the respective #, so the layers are aligned in a sense.
That is a very good point: one I had not considered. Still, it's not as much an issue for me, as I'm usually fine on my laptop, where the function keys are much shorter than the normal ones. I think I would prefer them to be aligned.
Think of it this way:
Pure -> Poker
Race -> Choc mini
Right that makes sense. I went and looked up pictures of the pure, and I can see the difference now.
I dunno; this may sound weird but having the knowledge that it is a backlit kills it for me. Obviously I could turn it off but I would always know it has a bit of flash under the bonnet.
Same here. If I had backlighting, i KNOW I'd use it, then I'd feel bad for using it. I think the best idea is to put THICK keycaps on it, so the backlighting can be used, but is more subtle. Then I'd be able to feel happy. Good thing I have WYSE thick doubleshots to the rescue on that one.
Hmm, It'd be awesome if it were easier for people in NA/Europe to buy this, though. I know I'd be interested in one.
