Yea, I upgraded from the x25-v 40gb and wow, what a boost. I'm tired of not being able to install programs on the SSD.
Was contemplating keep this one and running in Raid 0 but I doubt I'll be able to see any difference in real time applications. I just mostly play games on it.
I have 2 X25-M G2 in a RAID 0, a Vertex 2, and a Vertex 3 in various machines around the house. I can't go back to using a regular hard drive, but it becomes enough for human (or at least mine) perception at some point. The 2 seconds to milliseconds was noticeable, the difference between 3 and 10 milliseconds, not so much.
I do like the SandForce controllers a lot, it's just so hard to judge the performance you'll get with the different drives because of variations in compressible/uncompressible data, etc. GLWS! Somebody should move on this pretty quick I think.
