Rosewill RK9000 v2 Problem
« on: Wed, 30 November 2011, 00:02:36 »
I have a RK9000 v2 (with detachable cable) and it stopped working today while I was away from my computer. I have tried the keyboard under Windows 7 and OS X on multiple computers via PS/2 and USB.

Under PS/2 many of the keys register, but not all. I tried Aquakeytest and some of they keys do not show any response. These keys also do not work in BIOS with PS/2. Connected via USB produces more problems, as none of they keys register in Windows. Also when hot swapped, Windows goes to sleep a few seconds after it is plugged in. This happened on two computers.

When I tried the keyboard in OS X with USB, keyboard viewer shows that only the left and right shift, control, and alt keys register. When I press any of the Alt keys, Keyboard Viewer shows that the key is depressed and stays stuck until I manually click the Cmd button with my mouse. Also at times keyboard viewer shows that some of the keys that did not respond in Aquakeytest are being pressed (G, H, Esc, F4).

Any ideas as to why this is happening? Before today, the keyboard was fine and working well. I just received it on Nov 3rd

Thanks!!
