Reseating return key on an european DasKeyboard
« on: Sat, 03 December 2011, 11:09:25 »
Anyone have tips on how to reseat the return key on an european DasKeyboard?
Since it's European, the key is big and has a stabilizer, but I can't for the life of me understand how it's supposed to be seated. If I just slap it on it gets stuck while being pressed all the way down.

It boggles my mind that they were able to make such an intricate design for something this basic!

heres what i do... i dont have a european one but the method should be similar.

take out all of the keys around it.

make sure the stabilizer is seated into the clips

get the stabilizer into the left slider by angling the key... just make sure it goes in.

flatten the key, and push it to the left to spread the stabilizer bar. try to get the other side of the stabilizer into the other slider.

once it is in, wiggle it around until it goes onto the switch, and press it like 50 (lol once or twice will be fine) times to make sure it is seated.

profit.

hope that helps. if you cant get it, i will do a little vid for ya. just shoot me a PM with a link to this thread if you want me to.
