Go for the Leopold, the Corsair is a werid hybrid of rubber domes and MX switches.

That's only the K90, as far as I know.

I've been curious about the Corsair boards since I can get them cheaper in Canada than bringing a Leopold across the border.  If they're both the same price for you, Leopold tenkeyless all the way!  I'd be hard pressed to go back to a fullsize keyboard.

I believe the K60 also uses a mixture of MX Reds and rubber domes.

F'n hell, thanks Corsair for going out of your way to mess up an otherwise solid offering. :(

They probably figure that they could save some money on the cherry MX switches where they think people won't use that much. Wasn't a very good decision.

I say go with the Corsair.

I have the K90 and the hybrid board doesn't bother. Unless you use the function keys a LOT, it probably won't bother you either. But some people have reported that it's jarring for them...

Honestly, order the Corsair K60 on Amazon and just return it if you don't like it. That's what i do these days, I just order everything on Amazon and try it out...make use of their amazing return policy. Even if they charge a restocking fee, go to the live chat and ask them to remove it...they ALWAYS will.

I'd wager that most people on the net (not this forum specifically) who are suggesting the Leopold haven't used both keyboards. I have and I prefer the K90 (about the same as the K60).

I thought the k90 I had was a pretty nice keyboard. But I couldn't get past the different types of keys being used. It feels pretty jarring to me.

The k60 has the same issue. Rubber dome keys are used for the f key row including esc.  Same with the ins/del block.

The main reason I gone mechanical is because I want durability and consistently in all key feels even after a long time, which is sure hard to be achieved by RD.

Now, Corsair make the choice easier as we don't even need to wear it to make a different between key feels...

Congrats Corsair for which they saved less than 5$ for each board but also manage to kill off more than 20% potential buyers.

Though, I do hope to see any disassemble video of the keyboard to confirm whether there is any room or chance to mod those RD away and replace them with same switch.
