What do you like about the blacks and what do you dislike?
I personally use blues for both typing and gaming. One, because it is the only keyboard I have and two, because I think it feels fantastic. With that, the majority of people will say that blues are one of the best for pure typing, but in the end it all comes down to personal preference.
If you like the linear feel (smooth depression throughout the keystroke) of blacks, but not how much force is required to push the key down, then give reds a shot. Linear and light.
If you think you're missing some tactility (a small bump before key activation), then grab browns, blues, or clears. Browns have a slight tactile bump, but many claim they blow right through it when typing furiously, so it basically becomes a gritty linear switch. The bump is still there, just not very pronounced. Blues have a much more noticeable bump and a satisfying click noise. Clears are essentially blues without the click, maybe slightly heavier (but not black heavy).
Hope that dumbed down version helps.
