So they have finally decided to go all out making it looking pretty much exactly like a Filco? or should I say exactly the same as CM Quick Fire Rapid.

The caps seem fairly thick, but they certainly don't look like the Topre knock-offs the prior marketing materials suggesting.

I don't like the sharper squared off new body. It's like they lost some personality. I do like the new keycaps. They look like they are very close to Cherry profile.

Thickness of 1.3mm was publicized before the prediction was made. How does that count?

It's interesting you brought that up.  One of the biggest criticisms I've read on the Leopolds was the rounded corners. I'm kind of interested in the new gray color and how it compares to the black.  It's not too entirely obvious in the pic, but I wonder if it's anything like Topre's gray.

Correct me if I am wrong. I am under the impression that this is just a new line of tenkeyless targeting at people who want extra features (for gaming, multimedia control whatever), while the R200C line will remain available.

Nope. It is not the same as CM Quick Fire Rapid. The bottom of the case looks entirely different, and the top of the upper case looks wider. Also it has rubber feet.

Doubtful. The Leos w/ Clears were always a limited option.  Although EK's website says the White Clears are in stock they are in fact sold out if you get to the paypal menu.  Only 27 of the Black Clears remain.

They seem as overrated as reds; except you don't find a ton of people unloading their reds a day after getting them

I have noticed that you see people unloading clears very fast after getting them.

I for one love my Blue board that I have at home and my Brown boards. I have tried Blacks at a few stores and like them. I don't think they feel really heavy like a lot claim, but I am still foaming at the mouth to pick up a board with reds.

I like light keys, but I hope they are not to light for me. The fear of them being too light has me almost ready to pick up a black to type on it for a while to see if they are too heavy or not. But all in all, I will probably pick up a Leo red or CM Strom with reds. I am a huge Filco fan so I really wish that the linear r was not a limited edition run as I am sure that I would have bought one if they were close to the normal Filco prices instead of 40 more.

Clears take some getting used to, especially coming from light switches.

I suspect most folks who quickly unloaded them didn't  give them time to "break in".

My Rosewill's USB port broke within 5 days of owning it so I'm leery of detachable cables. I searched through the wiki to see if there was a list of keyboards that generally have good or bad ports. Is Leopold known for having issues?

How much do the switches lighten from being broken in. I have never noticed any difference after time using my browns and blues.

The sharp corners look good on the gray because it gives it sort of an "industrial", solid look; not sure about black and white.  Also, I prefer my tenkeyless rounded; it's better for portability.

The FN legends look terrible imo.

I'll get another FC200R if I need another tenkeyless.

Notice the colors of the switches in the removed caps pictures. Compare to pic of switch to direct right. Oops. The 'red' switch in the grey one is clearly an inverted blue. The blue switch in the black pic is way too bright. Someone just jacked the color values around in the pic of the white one to make mock up of black and grey ones. Ok it's for illustrative purpose so black one will probably be actually black, not dark chocolate, hopefully.

When did you try this? I ordered one of the white Leos with Clears about a week and a half ago and it went through OK. In fact, it just came in. I've had a little time to play with it, and I like it so far. I'll write up a bit of a review and post some photos in this thread when I get back home tonight.

Cherry G80-3494(LCYUS-2), w/ MX Reds for Portal Mod

Not mine, but I\'ve got access to:

I tried to order one last week. The site said in stock but the paypal cart showed 0. I called them up and they said they had a couple left. The lady said she would add them to paypal.  So apparently the paypal stock and the site stock are independent of each other.  Not sure whats left now but the word she used was "a couple".  So it may be worth a phone call or email if someone really wants one.

Regarding your guess about the keycap labeling technology, I wouldn't call that a prediction, as it was an 50-50% guess between lasering and dyesubs.
Frankly you so many times changed your prediction back and forth that I lost count.
Either way congrats! *

Final note regarding your sherlock PBT thread; you basically took all of your data based on my observations at deskthority, and you made it look like you invented time travel.
Still it is very useful as you collected and organized all the data in a single readable thread. I wish you left out all this self **** sucking

cherry mx (brown/black/blue/red/clear(or white in korean)
new design
silicon skin included
n-key rollover
stepsculpture 2 ?? don't know if I translated that right or what it is but it seems like it is the same thing from fc200r from my brief searching. it is basically how the keys are layed out and curved.
cherry stabilizer
