The Noppoo Choc Mini Fn layer broke (a while ago)
« on: Fri, 27 January 2012, 12:17:19 »
Right so this issue doesn't really affect me at all seeing as I have a nice shiny logo filled cm storm quick fire. However I would be interested in finding out if there is a possible fix to getting the fn layer working again which seems to be a hardware problem (tried on a laptop and a reinstall of windows).

It would likely end up being more of a if I get time i'll fix it (and can access the needed materials), I have a feeling plugging it into a usb to ps/2 connector caused the problem. However to be honest I just don't use the functions all that much with the limited media keys print screen being the most missed. I do of course know I can remap the missing functions with autohotkey but may not be able to do that where I might use it.

And no i'm not going to try warranty it, far too much effort :p.

Maybe the function key is broken?

Got access to a osscilascope?

I found out the ESC was broken on mine. And fixed the switch.
