Urgals.
"I hated the Blackwidow. Hated, hated, hated, hated, hated the Blackwidow. Hated it. Hated every cheapening feeble useless user-insulting gimmicks of it. Hated the keycap font that thought anyone would like it. Hated the marketing pretense to the keyboard by its belief that anyone would be impressed by it."

The 30g was the reason I didn't like variable, it just felt really mushy and gave no bounce back.

55g. tried variable and 55g.
variable felt way too mushy. both the 45g keys and (obviously) even more so for 30g.
and 55g certainly doesn't feel heavy at all for me.

Topres used to be big here but then the recession hit.

Elitekeyboards pricing doesn't help either.

So anyhoo, good luck finding people that have owned all three.

I guess the "all 45g" or "all 55g" boards are kinda new.

i tried the 45g version and i thought it was too light. many accidental key presses when i rested my hands on the keyboard, etc.

also, if you use too much force they feel like typing on a wooden plate, so its REALLY nothing for you if you have powerful hands.

I now have a filco w/ blues and like it much better, realforce 55g could be an alternative

by the way did u know that realforce has a tolerance of 30% or so? some switches felt much lighter than others. i dont really get that.

If bottoming out on a topre feels like a wooden plate then bottoming out on a filco or any other cherry board feels like a rock

It's easy to not bottom out on keyboards with cherry switches, on the other hand you can't tell the same for Topre.

And it is easier to not bottom out with a topre, compared to cherry MX in your opinion?

No, because I know I am going to bottom out especially in games so I wanted something with a softer landing.

Got it.  So, when bottoming out, you find the topre to be nicer on the fingers.

Well, that is good then!  I am not too phased by bottoming out on browns, so bottoming out on topre will be an improvement.

All 45g is the safest choice IMHO.
