PEW! Bit too wide for Access boards but you can just cut a couple leads with some scissors :D

Bet that is you actually look a bit harder on ebay (and not just click the first freaking link like i just did) you can actually get one cheaper.....

Wow thanks dude, that is pretty sweet! I might just able to chop off those leads! I will look around for a little bit more and if I cannot find some thing that fits better than this, then I will just get em :D

Np man, and you can simply cut those with some scissors. Just keep in mind that you dont cut between the leads but that you have to split one in half if you do not want to have any aligning issues afterwards (so in your case you'll be left with 32-and-a-half leads in total). The half lead will be roughly the same width as the blank space you're supposed to have at either end so it will fit as snug as a brand new one straight from the Acces-IS factory ;)

I just got it, I am typing on it now. I trimmed the three pins and its all good! This flat cable is thinner than the other one, but that is fine for me. Thanks for finding the cable!

Update on the on the cable.. Its pretty cheaply made to be honest.. The blue stripe, is now coming off just after being disconnected twice.. I might just reglue it back on..
Anywayy.
I have to do a whole mod for this, which takes a lot of precision and time. The idea behind this mod will be to create a case with a much lower and level profile out of wood or plastic.

Though I think you can help me with something.
I am not exactly sure of where to get these nuts to secure the board onto.. (pictured #4,5) I realize now that I will need them to make a sturdy casing for it..

That board look nice, it sounds like an interesting project you're planning!

You only need those exact nuts if you intend to re-use the exact same screws..... Id suggest you head over to the hardware store and look for these kind of things if you plan on working with wood;

And just also buy some matching screw thingies. I have not the faintest clue what these above are called in english but you basically drill a hole through your wood baseplate and you can then hammer this one in there from the back and attach pulling force to the other end. The little latches will dig in the wood surrounding the hole preventing it from spinning around as you tighten the screw/bolt from the other end and the pulling force will keep it in place. Try find em in brass if you dont want em to rot in wood.

Or maybe you could do what i did if you prefer low (aka absent) profile cases;

-Grind/file/cut off those nibs off the steel plate that it uses to slot into the plastic case
-Buy aluminium U profile that you can glue (with some proper strong glue) under the steel plate U facing inwards, make sure you create enough height for the control board
-Drill holes in the profile for mounting screws, glue tiny nuts behind the holes on the inside to hold the mounting screws
-Cut a metal plate in the same size as the boards outline and drill matching holes in it
-Tinker till perfect

Now if you don`t have alot of metalworking skills and/or if you want it to look perfect its quite a lot of work. If you do have this tho and dont mind a semi-hackjob look (because you'll filler it out one day and paint it anyways) you could do this in an afternoon or maybe two.
