My leopold moves around.
« on: Thu, 15 March 2012, 20:37:48 »
I have a leopold TKL, it keeps moving around. Is there such things as keyboard mats? I made a small google search about that and I haven't found anything except the razer goliathus.

Thanks, GeekHack!

Go to Wal-Mart and buy a roll of shelf liner or drawer liner. It will be foam rubber about 3 mm thick in a square waffle grid. Color choices, too!

Great stuff, under $5, and you can use it for a lot of things, including sound deadening.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Ohh, and I'll also be able to rest my hand on it. Atleast it will be more comfortable than wood hah.

Thanks, great idea.

Shoulda got a Filco.

Rubber feet.

Actually I have tried using the leopold withouut the feets and it still glides around, I'm blaming that on my desk and the way I play starcraft lol. Typing is no problem because I don't bottom out and mash my keys as hard as I do when I play.

I've found the Leopold feet to be generally useless. Even after a good cleaning they slip easy.

The Xtrac Super XXL  is pretty cheap and VERY big.  Somebody posted one even larger but I never did track it down.
Were you looking here where they claim the XXL is a 3XL and the XL is a 2XL? I don't really get it.

Been thinking of getting the XXL, currently using a Cyborg Glide 7 for my keyboard and a Roccat Sota for my mouse, would be easier with just one mat and the sota is my first hardmat in over a year and I think I do prefer the cloth pads.

Those huge mats are great but I am using a plastic mouse mat (4HD) and I only swear by plastic mats. So I would have to put my mouse mat on my other mat.

mat-ception!

Maybe you guys have a proposition to make my feets stickier? Is there such thing as rubber tape that I could wrap around  the feets?

My Leopold must be defective. It doesn't move around at all, even when using the feet... I'll RMA it

Buy some Plasti-dip and dip the feet in it, and you have a custom rubber coating!

Measuring the image on screen it would seem the 28mm measurement matches the width.

But the channel for the Leopold is 25mm.

Even if it was actually 22mm wide it might sit in but I'd bet it'd be wobbly.

nope, very easy to remove. You just peel it off!
