What happened to member forums? PRIVATE - KEEP OUT!

Up until today I had access to the subfora under "member forums", now they are all removed and replaced with a great big KEEP OUT sign, reading

"member forums
interact with veteran members in their forums (ACCESS GRANTED BY REQUEST ONLY!!)
Private
"

WTF?  Have I been banned???  As far as I know, I have never done anything to warrant being banned from ANY level of geekhack.  It is disturbing to suddenly be shut out of heretofore open fora without any explanation.  I checked under Site Announcements, and see nothing there either.  Strange, and disturbing.  Does anyone know what is up?  Is this affecting everyone, or am I one of a lucky few?  :-P

Ah!  Thanks Changdrew!  (Hey, did you get any of those keycaps I wanted from taobao?)

I wrote this up for a tangential thread to this one that got locked while I was typing, so I figured I'd put it here, as much to remind myself as anything.

He got me up to speed on mechanical keyboards after a long hiatus from them, and helped me understand, after never really knowing, why some of my old keyboards were so much better than all those I've had relatively recently.  He could be a little abrasive, but it was always in the name of getting the data right, or staying on track - so, I was not really offended by him.  I also enjoyed his Fonts research and Word of the Day threads.  

KL never welcomed me, nor provided anything other than his own web site, which never really helped.  So, aside from his personal libeling of me, and his constant trolling of ripster, I don't know much about him.
