Topre Realforce TKL / HHKB2 / Filco Brown TKS

Hello Geekhack.

I've been looking into mechanical keyboards this year. I lucked out and found a clean IBM model M in my basement and I stopped shopping since.

Now I am looking for a Realforce TKL keyboard or a HHKB2.

I wouldn't mind going lower end with a Filco TKL. I think I prefer brown switches but after trying my friend's blue switches they seem to do the job. I am considering Otaku keycaps as well.

Just so you know, Filco is anything but lower end.

Comparing Topre switches to Cherry MX switches isn't comparing apples to apples.

Sure, Filco boards are cheaper and your argument of it being "lower end" is valid in terms of price, but as for the price-to-quality ratio, I'm almost certain anyone with a realistic mindset would argue that Filco takes the cake for that aspect.
