Yes, the amount of contrast there is.  Like the board, but don't really like backlighting.  But, it's the best board out there with Clears.

That it is, but wouldn't a cheaper board with clears and separate keycaps be a better or cheaper option then?

In dimmed light with the backlight off I can read most of the keys just fine, with the exception of the finer printed ones. So Home, the @ on the 2 key, print screen, scroll lock, paus, del and end key.
The rest of them is probably as readable as any white on black keyboard can be.

The only other board that comes with Clears is the Cherry G80-3000LQCEU-0, but, after some hunting and research, I'm not very taken by the board.

Thanks for taking the trouble...  That's about the best contrast for a non-backlit, backlit keyboard that I've seen.

In fact you helped make my mind up on what MX Cherry Clear to buy this coming week.  I suppose this item is still made in the Good US of A?  PLEASE say it is.....

therecorder: My Deck has been very solid and given me no issues whatsoever.  I broke one of the stabilizer pieces because I was being a dumbass and trying to remove it to put some lubricant inside, and they repaired it for free.  (Less the cost of shipping, obviously.)  Plus, I believe they offer a 30 day money-back guarantee in case you *don't* like the board.

I'm giving it some serious thought.  Being in Israel, makes shipping a pertinent issue (not to mention the $200 price of the board).
