  They arrived! Thanks. I'm attaching a few quick pictures.

  The 'White' version is on a Leopold FC500R along side SP "Red Alert 2" key-caps. Of course it doesn't match, but I wanted to get a quick idea of how they fit.

  You can see the SP 'Sprue' marks on both the RA and Caps-Lock keys.

  The Black version is on a Das Keyboard Professional S with Cherry Double shots. This is currently fitted with non-matching profile Green W-A-S-D keys from Das. So, it's hard to get a good look at how the profile merges in.

  I think that the White Caps-Lock might be riding slightly higher than the adjacent Red Alert set. But if so, it's only by a small amount. I'll have to check things out more thoroughly later.

  I did a quick test by putting the caps-lock on an unmounted Blue MX switch.

  As best as I can tell, the keycap body is bumping into the top of the switch body and preventing the key from fully seating by a small amount. This was about 0.016 (or about 1/64th) inches when I tried it. (The total post height on the switch I used was about 0.142 inches. So, that seems like a relatively small amount).

  You can just make out the gap from the attached scan (You can see a little bit of exposed blue post).

  I'll have to play around and see if wiggling the cap will seat it any better. But so far it doesn't seem to be a big issue.  I only noticed it because I put a straight edge on the key-caps next to it  .

I just have to say big thanks to i3oilermaker for making this happen. I'm not sure if everyone fully grasps the idea yet or not, but this is a turning point in history. There never before existed a center-stemmed, stepped caps lock such as this, and this community made it happen. We decided we had a need for it, we wanted it, and we made it happen. I'm just proud I could take part in this by supporting the group buy with my order.

This can now be a part of any future group buy for full keysets, as part of the basic kit, or as an add-on purchase. We just have to drive the continued demand for these keys.

I can't remember who it was that originally posted this idea, and I'm not taking credit, but there is a way to fully seat a center-stemmed stepped caps so that it sits at the correct profile.  With the stepped caps being center stemmed, the stepped portion of the cap hits the top of the switch and prevents it from fully seating and the cap sits approx 1mm higher than the keys on the same row.

You drill a small hole into the center of the round portion of the bottom half of the switch (the part that goes through the pcb), and use a toothpick to push on the bottom side of the stem while holding the cap in place; this pushes the stem into a fully seated position.

Can't wait for mine to arrive!  Thanks again l3oiler for making this happen!!

Well, I'm six hours away and had the same first though but since I'm in no hurry it really doesn't matter, but it made me think a little.

I did ship out some of the internationals early with the first batch - it was more about post office efficiency rather than giving anyone special treatment.  Everything has been shipped as of last Thursday so I would imagine all the Domestic packages should start showing up Monday/Tues.
