All pre-made rest (green text) are finished and ready to ship within a day or two.

Unless you tell me otherwise, custom order rests will be finished with the "3 coats General Finishes "Arm-R-Seal" Oil & Urethane Topcoat Satin". If you don't want it finished, tell me in the first few PMs.

Here are a couple quick pictures of the purple heart wrist rest The_Beast made for me. The pictures don't do it justice though as it is beautiful looking in person. My wife even likes it, saying it looks like its from a high end furniture store.


If you were unsure about getting one before, don't be and just get one before its too late. These are well worth the price you pay or trade for them.
I think its fair to say that these are the nicest wood wrist rests you can actually buy today. Much nicer than than the basic imported ones or any of the plastic ones too.


Yes, I forgot to put the rubber feet on it before pictures, but once those are on its perfect height.

Double checking. The front edge (the one the faces you) will be 1/4" and the back will be 5/8" ( the edge that touches the keyboard) with the width being 2 3/4" and a length of 12 1/4"?

In a few post back you said you wanted the front edge 5/8" so I just want to confirm.

In the interim, I'm not expressly concerned about look or what not, if you have one that goes terribly wrong that you want to get rid of for cheap, let me know.  Doubtful that that would happen as you make them all by hand, but just wanted to toss it out there.

Money is tight as we build up to the wedding :-/...

I did have enough extra walnut to make a TKL sized rest (check out my 2nd post). I had one walnut board, I got a fullsized, TKL and Race sized rest out of it. I had just enough material to make the TKL rest, about a 1/2" extra material from final length (trust me, that isn't a whole lot)

Man I love Lacewood, those are both from the same board, but look completely different.





These Walnut ones need one more coat on the bottom and then they are ready to ship (I'll get a final weight, calculate shipping and send invoices). AKIMbO's will take 2 more coats and Striketh 1 more coat.

OMG...so pretty.  I want to put my hands all over that second one.  That sounded wrong but I don't care   I was worried the purpleheart would loose some of its purpleness from the varnish, but it looks awesome.

IDK if you read my warning about purple heart but it either darkens to a deep deep purple (almost black) over time or it turns into a rich chocolate color. It depends on the exact species. Wood workers aren't sure if it's exposure to light (UV) or oxygen that does it.
