Hey bro, so a dude on youtube was telling me how silencing the hhkb shortens the keystroke, and he said it was awful, I wanted to say to him "clearly you dont know demik on geek hack who says otherwise" but still, he said he took them off..

Did you notice any major difference in the keystroke at all bro?  I dont care if its negligible, but if it takes it away substantially I might hold off..  The actuation on the HHKB is pretty short so I cant imagine rubber rings making that much of a difference or anything..  Anywho, lemme know because from the videos Ive seen and what you are saying, it looks like orings and lube is the truth..

Lemme know mang :)

It for sure makes the keystroke shorter. And tbh I hated it at first. I kept hitting the keys way too hard and had finger fatigue. But then I adjusted to the shorter keystroke that I love my board now. So much so that I sold my type s.

See thats what Im saying, you sold your typeS, you wouldnt have done that if the silencing mod and lube wasnt better.. There would be no point...

Everyone else says the same thing you are saying, you either get used to it, or you dont notice it after a while, so I think my decision is made, thanks again..

im not demik i only bought his board but you could think of it that if you get similar/exact same performance from a modded hhkb then selling the type s only makes sense because a type s should sell for more than a modded hhkb
from my perspective im dumb and unable to modify things without running into problems so i bought a type s rather than modding my current hhkb
demik could also just like black so much he favors it over white

besides theoretical business i don't really see a difference between type s and normal hhkb since i don't bottom out very often and i value the sound more than anything else

Last but not least, a Bluetooth Filco Majestouch Tenkeypad and Pulse numpad kit. Was lucky to snipe this of a Japanese auction website. These are discontinued since 2008 I guess. There's one on Taobao right now, for 999 Yuan (about 130 euro's).
Not pictured is Carbon SA.

Maybe you don't know, or maybe I'm wrong, but I think owning a K3KC cap results in an instant ban from Bro. Maybe not; maybe I'm just basing it off a rumor or a joke I've heard.
But still...  :-X

Edit:
It may not be the case.
