Thanks Badwrench!
Yeah shipping those kind of parts kill me. I've been itching to sleeve my AD900s with MDPC!

That looks sexy (and P.S., your cable shipped today).

Is that mint gum?  Now I have a new color to add to my lust list besides octopink.

That pink looks really nice in that shot :)
Thank you--I love that pink.  It's different depending on lighting: from warm pink to the color you see on the photo.

Beautiful Ducky ~ I really like the theme you have going!
Thanks!  I originally really wanted a pink + white Shine set and got very lucky to be able to get both sets of keys.  I'm sure I'll be combining the two in different ways over time.  I was going to get a Gray Shine set too from MK.com (to do white + gray modifiers), but... turns out that Gray is quite a bit darker than pictured.  Would be too dark for this keyboard.

I could have shipped one over to you for cheaper than that!

Aren't we all?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

squarebox, preparing for the apocalypse....

Shhh.... Dont tell anyone  :X

On a serious note:
Singapore is recently facing a high AQI range from 100-600 due to the forest fires in Indonesia which the smoke is blown over.
At one of the worst point. Taken at 1230hr. Distance of chimney is 500m(about 550yards).

More photos of other days (ipotato 4S):

It's like silent hill over here
The worst day we've encounter, the visibility is down to 200m(about 220 yards) and birds were dying out.
Sadly, our neighboring country Malaysia is facing as high as 750 AQI...

Serious question, where will you be able to use this; when a pencil is not also useful? Just curious.
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

In zero gravity. Microscopic fragments of pencil sharpenings could be inhaled/mess up machinery. But yes, in every pretty much every other situation pencils are fine..

I dont want start another debate here because it's like debating why someone would buy a Mont Blanc pen when a Pilot pen does the same.

Works well on airplanes too, where pens with liquid ink (like the Uniball Vision Elites that I usually use and love) sometimes have issues due to pressure changes (such as not writing, or worse, exploding on your bag or on your hands).

Not in the mail... rather from Home Depot:

Yes, the plant too :)

That teal is my favorite color.  One of those is going to go on my Filco with Blues.  Either teal or the Dark Steel.  The Pearl Mistis more of a translucent pearl coat--I'll have to play with it.  Might get close to re-creating my original metallic pink Filco.

Tell me how you like that mask. I was thinking of getting one for when I work in the wood shop. What filters did you get? Ones for particles or VOCs?

I love it, it's extremely comfortable and adjustable compared to disposable ones. I'm currently using 7093  which is a protected P100 particle filter as I'm combating against ash particles. P100 filter 99.97% of air particles. I bought 7093 p100 particle filter which is a protected(shielded) versions of the 2091 filter.

VOC are mostly for welding and chemical work where harmful gases are given off. Perhaps it will be good for you since you deal with varnish. I'm unsure what other gases you are facing but you can look for the filter that fit your needs here : http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/mediawebserver?mwsId=SSSSSufSevTsZxtUn829Mx_ZevUqevTSevTSevTSeSSSSSS--&fn=CartFilterReplace_Broch.pdf

Dang Squarebox! I like all that gear you got, but hate to hear it's because you need it to keep safe!

Thanks. But one should worry more for the elderly and especially the young children.

This 2 just came in on Saturday.

It's Full size Cherry MX blue Filco AI (blue metallic case). I'm evaluating it now but most likely I will give it away to my wife since I'm not a fan of it so far.
Another thing that came in is Deathadder 2013 which replaces Deathadder Black Edition. I can now say I love Deathadder shape. I also like its build quality and software. And obviously performance which is totally awesome. I'm using it at full 6400 DPI with no acceleration and it really makes travelling my 30" screen a breeze. At 3500 DPI it wasn't quick enough.
