Picked these up at the mall. They are delicious! Got a whole bunch of other Asian candies too. Looks like taffy or something.

Are the pocky green tea? No clue.

doesn't come with the tsangan?
i think those LEDs could amplify the whole miami theme...would look amazing..

it's actually perfect being blue/pink

even still, you could use whites on the wasd/arrow cluster, or whites on the number row

ya know, funk it up

Pretty legit!

I'm going through a Model M appreciation phase at the moment as I try to resurrect my recent acquisitions.

These caps are nice :)

Pure PCB and 100 each 2x3x4mm water clear blue and white LEDs:

I'm not at all happy with how tinlong packed the PCB (a sheet of paper wrapped around it loose in a box...exactly what you see in the pic),  but as long as it works, I can't be too upset I suppose.  Still, it's annoying, especially since there's also some copper oxidation on parts of the PCB.

Now the question is, which LEDs do I do, white, blue, pink, or some combo of the above?  Maybe white alphas and pink mods?

Yeah mine came in today and was packed the exact same way.  Haven't gotten a chance to see if it works yet, but oxidation and everything on mine as well.

Ah, most of mine are missing from the left side - Tab, Caps Lock, F1, Esc, left SHift and a few others.

I just noticed that you had a Tab and Caps Lock in there.

The cap puller is pretty legit since it just pulls the top cap off instead of the whole thing!

Bah, my bad, had some glare on my screen from bright sunlight--totally missed those! :(  Have you checked that it's definitely the PCB and not the LEDs being faulty (or soldering)

Yup, double checked.  Went so far as to desolder and solder in new LEDs and it still didn't work.

Tinlong offered me a full refund, so at least it's being made right.  I was just looking forward to a completely backlit Pure.

Just solder in some jumpers and it'll be as good as new...

Yeah, I'm looking at trying that, but don't know where on the PCB to connect them, if I can connect them to the LED next to it or if I have to do it another way.  It's hard to see the traces on the Pure PCB and where they lead.  It's not an easy PCB to backtrace, so it's a harder fix than the broken RK9000 I bought and repaired.  I'll also need to get some thin enough wire to do it since most of the stuff I have on hand is too thick of a gauge for the LEDs.

Doing so also largely eliminates me being able to make and use a metal backplate too.  I was thinking of making a metal backplate to add some rigidity to the board in case I find the PCB mount to be too flexible for my own tastes.

I think the wires out of some CAT-5 cables will work just fine. Going to experiment with them on my MX Mini later this week.

Only thing that set is missing is a 1.75x right shift :(

I have a black blank to replace it, but the look isn't the same.
