But that begs the question why did you have it in a bag, in the snow on your person while transporting a car to a car meet? instead of safely on a keyboard at home

Fridays are stupid. Especially when you run over it with a trailer transporting a car to
a private meet.

Got it in the mail, recorded myself unboxing it in the post office right after I've signed for it. It slipped out of my pocket or box as I was going in to the house and i completely forgot about it since there were a lot of caps that were in the mail that day. A few days later, I went to a private collector's meet with my car and after that I went home. I realized that I was missing a cap last night so I reconfirmed with the person the cap came from and he said he did ship it out (The recording is in my brother's phone). This morning I was going to transport the car back to storage and as I was checking around the trailer, I found the cap sitting extremely close to one of the tires of the trailer.

Damn that blows.

It might look cool once you fix it/ clean it up.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

Oh snap. Very nice! Was it given through a raffle or some other means? Are ClackVents first come first serve or what? I'm sorry for my noobish questions here, but I know very little about the artisan scene! Thanks for the help thus far. :D

It's definitely best to avoid the rabbit hole if you can! It's tough though especially with everyone posting awesome photos here.

P.S the cap Hoff posted is the Flux keypacitor that CC made for the Back to the Future anniversary.

Oh snap. Very nice! Was it given through a raffle or some other means? Are ClackVents first come first serve or what? I'm sorry for my noobish questions here, but I know very little about the artisan scene! Thanks for the help thus far. :D

Cc made a thread earlier this year, we posted in it for months and months not knowing what would happen. Then in the end he sold five of those caps to the posters with the highest forum post count. I believe one person passed to the next and one person sold his to me at cost cause he's my love <3

Clack vent started as a first to post in his thread when it was unlocked got to buy a cap. Then it became a raffle style. You could win up to three caps and choose stem type. Price varied time to time. There was also JD day which was buckling spring only and a lottttt of people won that day!

Wow. That's amazing! You can really see the depth the cap has, the details look great! I love the wires.  :thumb:
