ill throw my 2 cents in here as i have a view somewhere between the 2 and i understand both sides
from the outside looking in, there does seem to be an elite circle, there are some poeple with incredible collections, and that would be fine, the difficulty for outsiders is seeing some people regularly post new clacks they are adding to their collection, yet at no point have some people even seen these clacks before, let alone seen them come up for sale or for trade somewhere, so this gives the impression that a lot of it is going on behind closed doors, and people have little understanding how this could happen if it werent for some sort of insider group
that being said
i am someone who is very not part of that group, and ive managed to get my hands now on some nice tri colors, the odd high tier clack and lots of low tier ones, i actually suffer from a very different issue in obtaining clacks, its the mid tier ones that i find so very elusive, they are very hard to trade for as nobody wants anything common for them, and like john says, the collectors and i myself couldnt let go of any of the really hard ones to get, and the chances of finding a nice middling clack for sale is jsut slim, they get snatched up so fast or get traded behind closed doors
i dont think there is a big conspiracy going on, there is just a little from both arguments going on above
i actually consider myself friends with a couple of the bigger collectors listed, and 1 or 2 of them have really helped me out, they didnt wanna screw me and had no reason to help me, they are just good guys, and im sure they just get such nice items by knowing everyone in the know, being nice guys and being very available to trade and purchase, i would love to be part of this non existent club, but only because it seems to be a bunch of good guys who have a similar interest in collecting something i like
i am on the grind fellas, i respect all of you and am envious as is everybody else
it is a club built on opportunity, and i hope to have more come my way
