The lighting in this pic was meant to highlight the green translucent Clack:

You have quite a collection there eth0s! Do you happen to know if you can get that silver/red clack in MX? It looks stunning.

Thanks!   The silver/red Clack is actually a mystery to me.  The only other one that I know of is owned by the Hon. Mr. Bro Caps.  Both are Topre.  They were probably made in MX as well, but you will have to find them on your own, because I cannot guide you further.  I don't even know the name of the silver/ red one.  I know that the green/ red is called Mr. Friday, and the black/red is called Nightowl, and that they are part of a set, but I don't know what else is in the set.  Maybe Salute? and maybe 3-D?  But I don't actually know.  Maybe somebody else who knows much more than me (ahem, Mr. Clack?) will enlighten us.  Or maybe somebody with an MX silver/ red will post a pic?

I think translucent clacks are my favorite. They would look so boss with LEDs shining up their asses. mmm

I didn't see this one before for some reason.  The translucents are damn hard to photograph.  You have to light them just right, or you just see thru them.

^+1.  A better camera will allow you to take good pictures in bad light.  And the better the camera the worse light you need to capture images quickly.  Because you can select camera settings to offset the bad lighting, like white balance, and ISO adjustment.  But if you are taking pics of your keyboard, which is stationary, and which you can get as close to as you need, what you really should do first is get a good light box, and a $30 tripod.  Then you can take great pics of your keyboard/Clacks with a sub $300 camera.  You don't really need a super camera to take a good pic of something that is not moving, if you can throw some good light on it.  However, with that said, if you want to buy a great camera, the best value right now, IMHO, for a DSLR in DX format is the Nikon d7100.  Get the camera body and kit lens, and get a secondary Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 prime lens for about $180.  Canon is coming out with a competing camera, which will cost about $200-300 more, but it's rumored to be superior, but you will have to wait until the end of the year to get it.

Well, my reasoning is for more than just keyboards...

I travel a lot, and work all day, so when I see things and explore, it might be darker outside. That's my main reasoning. But it'd be nice to take better pictures. Of all the pictures I've posted here, they're not awful, and I'm proud of my phone's camera.

I've gotten awesome results with the Gnex in good lighting. For how much flack this camera gets, it's really not that bad. However, low lighting shots can be pretty bad.....
