How can you tell which type they are?

This is something I'll be watching though.

Edit: Are simplified sliders identical in geometry to complicated ones? Such that you could use the sliders interchangeably? I already checked the alps wiki.

I've swapped AEKII sliders into a Matias before. They aren't quite the same height, if I remember correctly, so you wouldn't want to mix and match, but if you did a full swap, I think it would likely be fine.

Yes they are identical (at least the XM), you can even use the XM sliders in the real alps.

Those sliders plus gray switchplates would make for one quite convincing ghetto blues alps board then. That and these would be brand new, no need for any grease or whatever.

Should be interesting ... I'll let you know how it feels once it arrives ;)

Seems they are aka Wintek -- or at least the Wintek peeps buy these are (re)brand them.  I've owned a few Winteks over the years but none were mechanical.

Those both look legendless.

Which doesn't bother me, this board in this lighting looks solid black.

The 1007 is now my next board to lust for.

Any thoughts on shipping costs?  adding another 50 USD though pushes it back to "DSI 6600" territory for an alps board.

that's under 70USD EMS delivered... for a no-compromises layout unlike the 6600, and modern build... and NKRO...

Thanks.  I'll put in the NKRO Wiki.

Now the cheapest 6KRO keyboard I've seen.

Only if you win the auction for a decent price ;)

On a side-note, if you're not going to be using this keyboard exclusively for gaming, those rubber keycaps are awful.  I replaced the wasd keycaps with ones from my TP3 and it made a huge difference in day-to-day use.  The rubber keycaps on the arrow keys are fine though, they don't disturb me when touch typing like the wasd ones did.

On using this board more I am really liking the blue alps, much more than a couple of white alps boards that I have access to.  It's the lightest touch alps switch I've had the opportunity to try to date, but it still retains that wonderful alps switch feel.

Looks ANSI to me. That's a "Bigass" enter key, so it's not ISO. The shifts are the proper size as well.

Edit: Also, that's a great price for a 6+KRO ALPS board to try. I may grab one.
