I'm looking for a Mechanical numpad
« on: Wed, 08 August 2012, 11:47:01 »
Hey guys, all is said in the title, what model would you advice me?

I saw the http://www.amazon.com/Filco-Majestouch-TenKeyPad-Tactile-Numberpad/dp/B000MGBPNI but the price scares me a bit :( it's a bit expensive, but I like the design.
I don't care for the switch (although I like blue switches ^^ I know I'm not normal ^^)

Cheers,

I have one of those. Currently it's sitting in my drawer unused. I couldn't get used to non-plate mounted browns and cherry-style stabilizers.

(although I like blue switches ^^ I know I'm not normal ^^)

You are perfectly normal, blues are awesome.

You can find G80-7000's for reasonable prices.  The newer ones, not the fully programmable ones.  There is also the Goldtouch,  they generaly go for US$40.

Sure, $50 shipped. It's virtually unused. Think I still have the box lying around here. PM me if interested.

I have the goldtouch one and the cherry one

The cherry one is fully programmable, but aside of that, the goldtouch one is wayyy better imo.

It's platemounted, it's tinier, and it's usb. And it does USB hub too !

I never tested the filco one.

answered! :)
yup sadly enough a lot of us don't live in USA even if I would love to :(
let me know for the fees. also, would you mind, if you don't sell in to me, to order something on amazon.com and ship it to me if the price is not too expensive? because the object (the numpad) can't be shipped to belgium :S

brown.

Thanks. Wouldn't mind getting one, but like belgium, they are pretty hard to get in Australia, especially without ridiculous shipping :(

There's also the Kinesis numpad.
I have an ALPSulator (that is currently broken) from I.D.E.A. international. It's cool, 'cause it doubles as a calculator. The NeXT keycaps I put on it look nice.

thanks Okita, but I wanted to stay on Cherry MX (I didn't say it, it's true) since I already ordered keycaps to customize it ^^
