I do.  The Realforce 45g is way more tactile than a cherry red.  The Realforce 45g feels much heavier than a cherry red because the RF requires all the force at the beginning of the keypress, unlike cherry reds which require the most force in the middle of the keypress.  Cherry reds were my go to keyboard switch for a long time for gaming.  Since, I've gotten my RF 45g uniform I haven't even picked up a cherry red board.  Any specifics you want to know?

| KBD75 (box reds)

No, you gave me what I needed...  Will continue my purchase plans for a Realforce 45g, or stick with the Filco MX Browns that I have.  Thanks much.

I own both. Like Akimbo says they are very different experiences.  I love em both but if I had to choose I would probably go with the RF.

You just haven't reached the point of desperation with this hobby.  Once you open your closet and see 8 keyboards (all $100+) and more keycap sets than you have keyboards...you know you have to get rid of some of it....................to buy even more uber rare keyboards.

How about 3 being used, 21 in the closets, and two on the way?  (Not yet into the keycap collecting.)

There are a few that retail for less, like the Unicomp Utra Classic, the couple Ducky 1087XMs, and the KeyCool LE Clears.

ah cool, wasn't sure if you meant you had a closet full of old dusty PS/2 boards with interesting switches or new stuff.

But for real, get rid of all those sub-$100 boards and buy a topre with the money :D the difference in quality is astounding.

I was actually hoping that my 55g would be my last purchase; the board I would use while fooling around and modding my other boards.  But, I am 64 years of age, and my hands and fingers are neither as strong nor as steady as they once were.  Think a 45g would serve me better.  (But then there's the unintentional key presses...  Caught between a rock and a hard place.)

have you tried a cherry MY board with the springs removed? it's like 30-35g actuation. too light for my taste but some people absolutely love it.
and fwiw i have had very few accidental actuations on my 45g, but i have dainty delicate fingers.

Thanks for the suggestion and info.  Started reading this thread at Deskthority, but it got too deep for this early in the morning (in Israel).  http://deskthority.net/keyboards-f2/cherry-my-what-s-up-with-the-hate-t2973.html
