Thanks! I will be buying/dissembling a Filco soon. Is it just a matter of taking the case of the stock Filco and transporting that to the alu case?

I'm not sure exactly when this closes, but feng, could you post a warning a couple hours before you close it? I know in some places, it has already been Nov 3rd for several hours now. I am on the fence about spending the money for this, and I would like to know how long I have to make up my mind.

I wonder if the new MKC keyboards will have the same case as Filco then. Because based on the rumour he's releasing it this month.

So I don't think they'll have too much time to modify the cast for aluminum in such a short time frame before the release.

If that's the case then people can still do case swap later, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

It's not the material. It's the time it takes to program and run the CNC machine is what kills the cost.

Totally true. Another friend of mine also produced a sample Cherry G80-3000 Aluminum case, and he said it really costs much more than he expected. The designing, running the CNC machine are what cost the most. He thinks those custom Korean keyboards are actually "pretty cheap", yes, cheap. Considering the high quality aluminum case, PCB, etc.

We really need a nice 2-piece case with integrated plate for the GH60 keyboard. If someone could maybe design something like that? PCB is Poker/Pure compatible, and the drawing for it is available in the GH60 thread here. *Hint, hint*

I could if you gave me the dimensions of the pcb, and the location and sizes of the holes.

Well, it would be best to ask Komar007 about that. I''m pretty sure he's going to change the plate dimensions slightly in the final revision to accommodate for the stabilizers along the edge. His "gerber" files for the prototype (Rev. A) are in a .zip file in the OP of the above link, just below the images.

I made one which can be edited once I have the positions of the mounting holes. Why does it need to be 2 piece btw? The top part is kind of ridiculous atm since it isn't covering anything but the edge.

I was thinking something along the lines of the KMAC Mini case, where the plate integrates with the bottom case, and the top of the case just covers the edge (thick).

I was on the fence about this case, but this is why I didn't buy it. No confirmed it fits phantom. The few people that bought it used it for Filco.
