I got an unusual keyboard that made me very excited. However, it will not boot up, so I am selling it "for parts or repair" because I simply don't have the time or energy to analyze and fix it. The problem may be as simple as a loose wire, or the controller could be dead. All the parts are present and it seems to be solid and intact. On startup, the 3 LEDs do not flash, and POST gives me a "keyboard error or no keyboard present"
It is a buckling spring keyboard of a type that I had never seen before, and it is very different. Certainly not IBM, the case and cord are translucent clear plastic with a pebbled texture. The front is marked "Precision" and the clear-on-clear embossed label is all but impossible to read. It has patent numbers from various countries starting with Germany, but, surprisingly, I do not see any mark telling where it was made.
It is pretty cool looking, and has Windows keys and a PS2 connector on an attached straight cord. It is fairly lightweight, too.
I would like to keep it, but my life is hectic these days and I just know that I will not be able to tinker with it anytime soon. $50 shipped domestic, $90 international.
