compaq 269513-001 keyboard, feels really good
« on: Fri, 28 September 2012, 14:56:41 »
Hi,

I found one old keyboard in company's server room, compaq 269513-001. http://www.amazon.com/Compaq-Keyboard-Spacesaver-Opal-Refurbished/dp/B000MNANRA
It's really heavy, I thought it was mechanical at first. Then someone said it's rubber dome with slider.

I did some typing on it today and wow, it feels really great. Smooth, quiet, kind like the feel of a topre switch. I am definitly gonna keep it.
All those keyboards will be lost in time....

Some RD's are pretty great. I like my olivetti, which is also a little heavy, as everything is mounted to a metal plate.

I used to have one of those at work. It was indeed very nice for an RD board. I can't remember what I did with it.
