Interesting rubber dome
« on: Mon, 01 October 2012, 13:41:10 »
I opened up this old keyboard to clean it and I was surprised to see that there were individual domes for each key instead of one big sheet. Is there a specific name for this type of rubber dome? The typing experience is decent. It actuation force feels a little lighter than normal membrane keyboards, and it bottoms out solidly on the four plastic feet instead of a rubber sheet.

Depends on the rest of that dome... it looks like the bottom is sealed so that's not a buckling rubber sleeve.
