I am tempted myself about this Sun Type 5 with MX, but I can't find any more information. Pretty sure it won't work with PC though it might make a good project for some.

It is not a real Sun Type 5, but it has the same layout, and I suppose that it would talk Sun's protocol.

Check out the Deskthority wiki page (that I wrote) for how to use it with a modern PC or Mac. There may be more ways than those I have listed.
